Simultaneously able to type 94 wpm and still take five years to finish a story. If you're feeling generous, throw a ko-fi at me.

One morning, while plowing one of the fields, Applejack comes across a bracelet, and puts it on.

This turns out to be a grave mistake.

It doesn't take long for Daring Do to show up, and the next thing Applejack knows, she's being dragged off on an adventure to destroy it.

And of course, her girlfriend seems a bit too excited for this adventure...

I already blame Rainbow.

Interesting piece so far, looking forward to the next chapter

i'm getting the vibe that points to this movie --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mummy_Returns

hmmm...
seems similar to begin with.... atleast this bracelet thing.... - the death part though:unsuresweetie:

7244956 I got the same feeling

spoiler (?): I haven't actually seen that movie :unsuresweetie:

7245521 ? really:rainbowhuh:

huh.:applejackunsure:
you should watch it, has a somewhat similar thing that happens with the bracelet, though you can't take it of at all. it pops off on its own when you reach a temple which is shown to you in a vision....

RD will have the leash by the end.

Kix

What?! You killed Rainbow?! WHY?:raritycry:

All magic has a price. :fluttershyouch:

So....Daring Do and RD planned this without AJ's consent. Can't get no respect.

...And if it's subverted with a 'potion.' How does ancient magic(objective) accept a false sacrifice? :ajbemused:

:rainbowlaugh: she did not expect that!

*grins* Very nicely done. The artifact was really cool.

no:flutterrage:! basic CPR to undo a death by sacrifisial ritual?!? :flutterrage::facehoof:no! That would not work that spell was an instakill she was as clinically dead as one can be no potion or medical attention can undo that. the only thing that could have undone that was a resurrection ritual witch is way you always bring a spellcaster/cleric/unicorn/Twilight on suicide missions. unless what was in that vial was the physician's cure that would not work. i expect the reccurection ritual to need both pegasus earthpony and unicorn magicalcomponents to work. i will say it again as i have not made my quintessential D&D refference yet so *ahem* YOU CAN NOT USE A HEALING POTION OR A MEDICAL ROLE TO SAVE SOMEONE FROM AN INSTAKILL SPELL OR FROM THREE FAILED DEATH SAVING THROWS IT. DOES NOT WORK. AT THAT POINT THEY ARE DEAD NOT DYING!!!!!:flutterrage:

>clinically dead
Of course she was. Clinically dead just means there's no air moving and no blood flowing. The same thing happens during heart attacks. Those can also be reversed (sometimes) which is why CPR training has become so commonplace.
In my mind, the vial contained a venom that acted like epinephrine, hormones that induce the heart to start beating faster.
Yeah, that magical ritual might work; but magic is one thing and science is another; and by playing with both, good things happen. :raritywink:

I have no idea why you placed this in the submissions folder for the lemon twist-thingy competition (in Appledash group) but hasn't it been already finished in for a long time?

Mostly as a legacy thing; I submitted this story in that contest as a(n unfinished) google doc. It has since been expanded and completed.

well, she was dead for a while, so it counts, at least legally.
