Studying the ponies of Ponyville, Twilight is sure the last piece of her ultimate plan for friendship lessons has fallen into place with Sharp Mind's arrival. Can changelings be taught friendship?
I guess it should be added: this starts at the beginning of Season Five, and many chapters will show parts or all of the episodes from that, just with 100% more changelings. I would highly suggest watching that season before reading. Or not. Up to you!

Well knowing Twilight she's taken meticulous notes on every changeling's starting cover form, probably remembering them better than the changelings do. Have some pony disguised as the cover form come into town just as the pony the changeling replaced shows up, then the "new" pony leaves town, the changeling assumes the phony form never realizing they where the one that originally created it. having learned about friendship the changeling feels no need to replace any other pony now, and Twilight quietly takes them aside and lets them know the truth (cause AJ insists) By the time Cranky and Matilda's wedding rolls around every pony is back and every ling with the exception of Kevin(he refuses to disguise himself anymore or is just dim) has assumed a new pony indenity
7179452 Can you believe that that apostrophe messed up part of an awesome joke I had crafted? 1984 words. Adding the apostrophe made fimfic count it's as two words and ruined the joke! I had to search, but I managed to remove a word elsewhere and bring it back into line.

7182628 The way I figure it in this one, a changeling takes on every aspect of the pony they are mimicking, including the cutie mark and magic (to some extent, they have the power the pony would normally have, but don't have all the nifty spells memorized and have to fuel the magic with love energy instead).
Explains a lot about that episode, like why Twilight was matched by a regular unicorn, why she didn't just teleport, etc.

You've gone too far into just regurgitating the episodes with slight tweaks. I'd prefer chapters like the previous ones, which gloss over the normal episode content and jump right to the bits that are actually your own work.

7496453 The problem was, I was changeling a lot of little bits here and there, I did gloss over big chunks of the episode and tried to only stick to the bits that had specific changeling-esque reasons. Will I go into so much depth in an episode again? Only if it is important to see how the particular changeling integrates themselves and reaches acceptance with just being nice.
As for the asks, I will try and get Princess Celestia to reply, she is horribly busy reading friendship reports. Could you imagine how much worse it is, when Twilight is reporting on dozens and dozens of friendships, and not just her own?

I'd think that, as a necessarily accomplished spymaster by virtue of her ten century sovereignty, Celestia would almost certainly be more comfortable with reports about a whole network of interactions on a constant basis as opposed to sporadic information about a very narrow group. In fact, I'd expect her to be enjoying the whole thing a good deal, much like an experienced survivalist can still have a great time at a camp site when there are friends with them.

Awesome story :) the concept is very funny. But I agree with Clockwork here. I enjoyed the other chapters except the previous one. Some slices of the show are nice, but i enjoy more what you add :)
