This story is a sequel to Sour Sweet Motherhood

After Sweetie Belle agrees to go out with Button Mash, Sour Sweet is asked by the Crusaders to tell them the story of how her romance with you all started... and they won't be satisfied with just, "I was a b*tch and ruined the whole thing. The End.

(My second featured story! - 4/8/16)

Chapters (3)

"Daring Do just shows up, kicks Ahuizotl into a lake of lava, and that’s it?"

I like how the movie ends. It makes it so I don’t have to wear this stupid thing for very long!”

I would have thought she'd like it for move obvious reasons, if you know what I mean :pinkiecrazy:.

She had a reputation to maintain as a one-note personality with only two moods after all!

Oh yes, because that type is always the breakout character who gets their own spin-off series (see, I can do it too).

Someday, Sour Sweet felt, Scootaloo would have to come to terms with some certain feelings of hers.

Oh my...? :rainbowhuh:

Also YES MY SOUR SWEET FIX FINALLY!!!!!!! :rainbowkiss: :pinkiecrazy: :pinkiehappy: :yay:

That was awesome. I gotta say that the stories that through in something completely out of left field and make me wonder "what the hell am I reading?" are always some of my favorites.:rainbowlaugh: Great job on this one. I'm actually interested in sour's father. I'm curious if you're going to use him in a future story possibly.

Sooner or later.

If you ask me, the waiter is the real hero of this story. Been there....

It's a tough spot for the boyfriend to be in too. On one hand, you can't let someone offend your date, but on the other hand, the offender is absolutely correct.

And just how old are your Crusaders? If you follow the cannon, they should be around 12. Isn't it a bit too early for a date?

Now I'm imagining Sour Sweet in a Daring Do cosplay. That picture needs to be commissioned!

kul

Aw its cute.. Kinda wish it was longer tho, especially in post-Italian dinner scenes. Telling us about the photos and the restarted date is nice, but I wish you showed whats truly been exchanged between these two lovebirds. Ah young love..

7105908 I went on my first date when I was twelve. Happens a lot, nowadays, from what I've seen.

Just remember her behavior is due to a mood swing, which she is shown to regret and the boyfriend totally understands that she can't help it.

And just how old are your Crusaders? If you follow the cannon, they should be around 12. Isn't it a bit too early for a date?

In the Equestria Girls universe they are Freshmen, which would make them around 15. Also, Button Mash didn't really ask her on a serious date. Sweetie only wishes it was one.

Incidentally, my mom was actually 12 when she first met my dad. Married 36 years now with three children.

Another awesome fic nico! Can't wait for the next one!

7106099 15? I'll never buy that. Sailor Moon is 15.

kul

7106181
Sailor Moon is 15?? Man, I find that hard to believe

Yeah, you don't like him, Sour. That's why you're driving yourself into a panic attack over your appearance and the very thought of him seeing you when you're 'not ready'. Denial much?

Advice for Scoots - There's no way you can do a 'serious' Daring Do fan film on a shoestring. Try to do a comedic parody but from the starting point of a group of fans wanting to laugh with the rest of the fans of the franchise. There are Trek fans that do that and it works.

Poor Sour! It's pretty clear that emotional tension triggers her swings a lot of the time. She was nervous and handled it by letting angry!Sour out of her cage.

All she's ever really needed is someone to be there for her and give her a motive to want to gain a little stability other than her own frustration with her condition. I think that Anon is beginning to do that job for her.

I wonder if Starlight is going to end up falling foul of the Rainbooms, get expelled from CPA (for trying to mass-brainwash the student body) and end up in reform school... with Twilight Sparkle as her visiting peer counsellor.

"So, why didn't you use your rainbow laser thing on her?"

"Wouldn't that be excessive? It might have turned her into stone or something!"

"It's so nice that you were concerned for her! Even though being a pigeon perch is the most that kook can expect out of life!"

I wonder how many stories are left.
Feels like this series is reaching it's end game. Be ashamed to go, but as the wise creator of avatar said:
"If you said you knew the greatest story ever, but it had no ending, I'd walk away. Unless it was the neverending story."

This chapter was realy sweet, I love it

I love you for making these stories of Sour Sweet, they're really sweet. You make me smile with their shenanigans and romantic, sometimes hoity-toity, moments. It warms my heart that she's getting better and that she has someone that loves, and understands, her with all his heart despite her illness.

You have my like Nico, and five derpy's :derpytongue2::derpytongue2::derpytongue2::derpytongue2::derpytongue2:

My favorite Sour Sweet stories, as always.

I think you made a minor typo in chapter 2:

Sour Sweet glanced over. After a moment of silence, he finally smiled and nodded.

Shouldn't that be She?

7107184 Thank you, fixed it. Darn overlooked typos...

These stories are some of the sweetest things I have ever seen.

You've done it again! Earned a spot in my favorites! Both this and Sour Sweet Motherhood were done really well. If you continue, can't wait to see what's next!! :pinkiehappy:

Wonderful story, you've done it again. You get a like and a favorite from me.

If you’re a mom, you take embarrassing pictures. It’s what you do! Was that a GEICO reference?

7107833 I would love to see an Equestria Girls GEICO commercial, wouldn't you? :rainbowlaugh:

“Ah wouldn’t really call it an ‘epic climax’, Scoots,”

Ah

Don't do this. We know she has an accent. Let us fill in the blanks.

Besides that, good shit as always. And I'm not even finished!

Not sure why the protagonist wasn't a nervous wreck like in SSP but this is great.

Nico, never stop being the best.

That ending made me laugh like a maniac.

It's a personal preference to write out the accent... especially since I'm southern myself :raritywink:

Sour Sweet simply being around him gives him confidence. I understand your interest in the boyfriend, but early on I realized that Sour's struggle with her condition should be the main focus, so his development is kept subtle.

That ending made me laugh like a maniac.

I try :twilightblush:

7108037

Just for you, maybe-Rev. Nah but seriously I'm like one of three people that get annoyed by it, and if it's you I'm fine with it.

Wow, he got gud fast. Fair enough.

I try

No, you succeed.

10/10 would send ninjas to kill you again

7107418
*sigh*

Now I have to...

-edit-
Yup, shouldn't have done that. :facehoof:

Dude, how do you keep doing this? This stuff is amazing!
I loved the keepsakes thing. My girl has a similar collection of mementos.
(I really hope we get to see Bitter Honey in the future. Adorable beyond measure)

7112308

Dude, how do you keep doing this? This stuff is amazing!

My method is quite simple, really. Firstly, I start writing a bunch of crap ( often weird crap ), hoping to God that I can somehow make it plausible and heartwarming by the end. Secondly, I submit. Thirdly and lastly, I sit back in utter shock and confusion as bronies tell me how amazing it is :raritywink:

I really hope we get to see Bitter Honey in the future

Patience is a virtue.

Great to see another Sour Sweet Fic from ya bro!:pinkiehappy: Lookin forward to more:twilightsmile:

Well, color me impressed. Second-person perspective has some heavy stigma attached to it, but you definitely make it work. The realistic, respectful approach to Sour Sweet's mental condition also helps. The perspective character himself is still rather underdeveloped, but you have me looking forward to future installments of this saga.

7119425

The perspective character himself is still rather underdeveloped

That will have to be a permanent flaw, I'm afraid. As I have explained to others, I feel that Sour's struggle with her condition should be the focus, not the self-insert boyfriend. In hindsight, I probably should have made her date a canon character, but I honestly never thought I would end up writing a popular extended series when I submitted the original story, Sour 'n Sweet 'n Pretty four months ago. Life is funny.

7107905 20 bits says it either involves pinkie or rainbow dash

I've mentioned that I love this little anthology before, right? Oh well, just in case, I love this little anthology. It's kinda funny how well Sour actually gets along with the CMC, but that's great in itself. Then the drawing of Bitter made the tears come back again.

Kinda hoping we get tour see the boyfriend screw up a bit in the future. So far he's the "Nice Guy," which is good for developing Sour's story further, since she's the main focus. But I would like to see the reaction when he messes up a little instead of her condition warping her thoughts from something minor like in Sour Sweet Gesture.

7137189

Kinda hoping we get tour see the boyfriend screw up a bit in the future.

If the boyfriend was a real character then I would definitely put mistakes in, however he's supposed to be a self-insert. I wouldn't want to write anything that would make anybody go, "Hey, I wouldn't do that to poor Sour Sweet! This sucks!"

7137703
Fair enough. Like I said, him being the nice guy is a good foil for developing Sour.

Alright, lemme say it right now:
ButtonBelle is my OTP, so this being my favorite one might only be the case because of that. But still great so far.

God, I feel ashamed that what I took out of this episode is that Starlight created the Ku Klux Klub. I'm sorry, but it looks like the burning equal sign will rise high.

“Thank you so very much!” Starlight beamed as she took the money. “You two shall be spared in the coming revolution! Oh and here’s a free gift!”

Ahh, if i had a dollar for every time someone told me that... :pinkiecrazy:
