Wow, Twilight and Hopper really know how to fight. Really like the Dom/sub session,
7457972 Thanks! I tried to make it at least semi-tactical as well as sexy there, and I'm glad it came off well!
Hawt! Loved it, every second!
7458047 Glad to hear it!
That moment when you realize Hopper is going to end up outsizing CELESTIA!
7458107 Celestia is certainly hoping so. Oh, don't get her wrong. She likes being bigger and stronger than everypony else. But it'd also be nice to be the little spoon for once! More than that, one of Celestia's primary frustrations is that she has to be so gentle with all of her lovers; even when she's with her volunteer cadre with lots of nice studs, mares, and futas to divert her attention within, she has to restrain her full appetite and passion. Even with Twilight; even with Luna. She tends to be pent up a lot and holds it in.
Don't try to think too hard about what the thousand years when Luna was in the moon was like. Some of her masturbation sessions created volcanoes.
If you take a look at when Twilight hammers her legs down on Hopper when he's teasing her, that's the sort of thing Luna has problems restraining, plus the effects of her euphoric fluids and pheromones as per Moon's Illusions; she's not quite as... concentrated as Celestia there. Celestia is vastly stronger (though Luna's the better fighter and war-leader) in the first place, and she usually has to bank her fiery passions and concentrate on her motherly side. Neither is a real her exclusive of the other, and both of them can be overwhelming or literally mind-shattering to a lover. It's just easier for Celly to keep the motherly-goofy side from turning her little ponies into insane zealots, willing to burn the world down as a sacrifice to her.
Her fluids of various kinds... well, you've seen some of the limited effects with Twi, who has more resistance on the will-side than anyone save Luna; possibly even exceeding Luna in raw potential. Add that to the unleashed magnetism and charisma of her Sol Invictus side, and it's a recipe for trouble. If I do Hunting Season and the sequel series right, I hope people will notice that Hopper isn't either of the two primary romantic partners in the underlying story. He's a well-loved romantic assistant; a facilitator, and I hope I'll be clear without shouting it as to who the primaries are, at least textually. Since I'm always tempted to give away some details. *laughs*
So how does somepony like Braeburn stack up to his hulking red cousin?
7458294
I'm guessing like a prawn next to a lobster...
7458294 Not sure. Other than "Little Strongheart has first dibs on that, and she's huge," I haven't decided much about Brae. His fate is certainly kinder than Caramel's, either way; but I dunno if I want to do it as a side route into little guy huge girl that isn't maledom like Nurse Appreciation Day or go for "Apple Big" hyper but still not as big as her; probably vanilla with non-dommy muscle worship from Brae to Strongheart either way. I'm still deciding whether or not the buffalo are the same range as griffons and minotaur (9' to 12') or max where mortal-lifespan adult dragons do (about 15' for their biggest). I'm leaning towards 10' to 15', though with males outsizing females, unlike dragons, which I'm doing like RL birds of prey and many lizards and other egg-layers. As a result dragon females tend to be about a quarter to a third bigger than males on average; Ember was not a waifish little thing in the hyperverse unless I decide to r63 there, like I did Barb. Debating not, though, just because I think she looks badass as is, and bigger is better there, right?
Anyway-- yeah, the Buffalo are huge, and can match and potentially overmatch even most 9' hypers, unlike 12' griffons and minotaurs. Most, mind you; Mac, Maud, and Bulk, especially these days are stronger, as are a few other scattered remnants of the old bloodlines. Alicorns, of course, even the weakest are strongest than the strongest buffalo. They don't have griffon flight or minotaur advantages that I'm working on, nor do they have even Earth Pony levels of druidic inborn talent. They _do_ have druids and animistic priests/shamans, so they're not magic light, but if the neotraditionalists had been able to get even the Apple Clan focused on displacing them, the ponies would have won the resulting war.
Everyone but the neos are glad there wasn't a war, and the buffalo are some of Equestria's most dedicated allies at this point. Few are happier than Brae and Little Strongheart, however I end up having him come out for height. It basically depends on whether or not I want a 6'6" normal with a 15' buffalo who's very, very gentle with her sweetie! or a 7'6" hyper who can occasionally deal with her being on top when they boink without structural reinforcements. And yeah, most male buffalo are significantly bigger than female-- IRL up to 60% at the extremes-- but I don't mind having LS be a prodigy of buffness and height for her people. ;)
Cough. So Brae is probably significantly shorter than Mac and Bloom, and no more than within 2" of AJ. I don't think he minds. The family has a lot of big people in it, and my impression is that he's mostly made his way independently with wit and a friendly kind of charisma. If I was to name a specific, I'd probably put Brae into a Celtic-type fili/bard mixed with primitive gunslinger. The charming, smiling, good-hearted type who's managed Clan concerns and is one of AJ's trusted hands. He's not jealous of Mac, I think.
After all, Brae can fit in doors without ducking. Or crawling.
7458338 Li'l bit. But more in the mantis shrimp type. ;)
I might be wrong but, i'm guessing the Wonderbolts aren't Hyper since they need their speed?
7458406 Pegasi don't have a lot of hypers in the first place, the lowest percentage by tribe. Most hyper pegasi with the exception of Dash (who got her hyper by means of alicorning, so the rules are a bit odd there), tend towards the eagle to albatross range of flyer types, rather than falcon/hawk/shrike, but they do have disproportionately strong wing muscles, which means better flying magic because meh otherwise what's the point of wingups. My canon is that they're basically a cross between Blue Angels and Aerial Navy SEALs, so there are probably a few hypers among them, even a few naturalized griffons, but not many. Remember that Bulk made it to reserve status and he's a relatively slow flier in canon anyway. I figure they anchor teams, get heavy weapons when necessary, and provide cover for extraction and infiltration. All of the canon 'bolts except Dash that have names are non-Hyper; Spitfire herself is in Twilight's Thrones in the Pinkie section and she's like 5'2" or 5'3", I forget which.

This one, or this one? Lobsters for comparison.
7459998 Oh, a wide variety of things but mainly the supercavitating punch and sensory abilities. Not appearance wise.
7460826
I meant size-wise, mainly. Peacock mantis shrimp are between 2 and 7 inches long, while American lobster are commonly 10 inches, and can get up to a yard and a half long, counting the claws.
7461024 Enh. The metaphor doesn't extend that far, I'm afraid.
7461259
Size as in height; get your mind out of the gutter on this, at least!
7461349 Height was what I was referring to, yes. :P
7461448
...oh.
7461450 *patpats* Sorry I'm not being 100% clear. Running Wrath of the Righteous for my spouse; it's our anniversary.
7461456
Hot-awesome, and congrats on yet another year!
Though I prefer freeform stuff with my group, loosely based on Skull and Shackles, with plenty of high-seas combat.
7098277 "Mac came closest, but despite the princest that will be happening later, I couldn't quite make MacJack work romantically. "
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
7464777 *pats* That's okay. I gave Mac his own buff and forthright lady. I even have their story plotted out past the first arc I posted! I'll get back to it, uh... someday.
I honestly really like Macromantic Gestures, and the concepts I came up with for it. It's just that I have a promised project to fulfill that's going frustratingly slower than I'd hoped (and makes me glad I have about 20 chapters worth of buffer between various projects) my spouse who is also my primary editor wants to see a Twilight-Sunset-Hopper threeway and a "Hopper Gets Injured, Luna Rescues Him" hurt/comfort thing first. One angers one's spouse and one's editor at one's peril individually. Together, they are a power to be reckoned with!
Anyway. >.> Macjack may not be on the table, but AJ will be getting her rides when Hopper has had the advantage of being trained up by Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity (and Barb along the way), and Luna. So she's going to be getting more of the finished product from someone tall and well-mannered.
7461459 In what's a big shock, I usually play good characters; the best we could come up with for S&S was a bunch of Caylienites. It's a possibility; right now, she's running Hell's Rebels where we're experimenting with less bookkeeping by reducing the number of PCs (one PC run by her, a sorceress, two by me, an Abadaran Paladin and a Bloodrager) but making them mythic and giving them some up-power tweaks. It's going well so far.
Rarity mustt make a fortune in this universe.
7466632 She has star power on multiple levels, and is really, really good at what she does. These days, the fashion lines are, sadly, about third place, after her ruling/heroing duties and sponsoring other artists/cultural phenomena, but she still has them come out, season after season, and an actual Rarity Original is worth a bloody fortune and a half.
Being Rarity, she often gives the personals away. Fancy and Fleur have several; she also makes them for charity, too. For the royal bachelorette herd? She gets stroppy even with Celestia and Luna if they don't wear her designs. All five of the other Elements get VERY crabby if Twilight doesn't wear what Rarity makes her inside their personal territory in the castles; as per Twilight's Thrones, that's more or less entirely lingerie, though Twilight insists on t-shirt and jeans outside unless formal occasion, at which point, Rarity Awaits.
As for Hopper, let's just say that he is a dutiful and attentive student, would be completely capable of choosing his own outfits and even purchasing stylish clothes for himself, and did so on their trip on a number of occasions. And at no time past his 18th birthday will he ever again be permitted to do so except under dire circumstances, under pain of at _least_ eight wobbly chins and Saddest Faces Ever, plus Barb trying to savage his ankles for dissing Rarity.
He does draw the line at letting them dress him. Trying outside of a very specific scene would get even Twilight booted out of her own room. ;) (or more likely, he'd teleport back to his own, but).
