I am the author. I write words. You are the reader. You bring the words to life, along with my messages. All I ask of you is that you bring my words to life...and learn from my life.

This story is a sequel to Undeliverable

This is a prequel to undeliverable. Why did Derpy go missing? Where did she go on vacation? Only one pony has the answer, the same pony who is dictating the letters. She is Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship.
Why does she refuse to tell everypony where Derpy went?

Honestly, I think the whole story was better without revealing why Derpy wasn't receiving her letters.

Me too. But it was worth a shot.

Okay, so... not a terrible idea, but it was poorly handled, I think (though I can see the attempt was made). Technical things like having to outright state what POV it was in, the use of the word 'buck' as a curse, and a few grammar/punctuation issues hampered it a little. But what really killed things were things like suicide being treated with just a bit too matter-of-factly, or Twilight taking just a bit too long to catch on to what had happened after finding the book (which leads to that being a bit ridiculous at her expense, rather than suspenseful or shocking). Stuff like that kept me from being emotionally invested in it, which is terrible because I wanted to be emotionally invested in it. Pulled off well, this could be a great story, making us feel what Twilight feels as she conceals a suicide from the whole town while taking down letters for the suicide victim. But ... I just can't get invested in it, so it all kind of slides by with a 'meh'.

I approve. I also tend to devour dark stories when I'm stressed, so take that as you will. Still, a nice possible prequel/explanation for the original.
