In the prime of her life, Fluttershy is contacted by a stallion named Blanche, who comes to her as she sees a bunny she was tending to, Hector, off into the mysterious place Blanche introduces as The Ever. He tells her that she must now take on the mantle of Death in his stead, as the decision is already made and cannot be reversed. Fluttershy is forced to accept, and learns many lessons about the true nature of Kindness, in all its facets, what Death really represents, and whether being Death is truly a bad thing.

Hey everypony, just wanted to come out and explain that after this eight month (or so) absence, and after the end of season 3 of FiM, I haven't had much of a desire to come back and continue writing ponyfic. While I have gotten ideas, I haven't really been able to work up the drive to actually go ahead and write them. I didn't, however, want to leave the scene without at least mentioning the problem and why I likely won't be returning to writing ponyfics. I may continue doing it if I see enough of a response regarding it, but for the moment I'd prefer not to continue writing ponyfic. I do appreciate all the comments I received as well as the constructive feedback I got while writing this stuff. It's made me very happy to see the sort of response I've provoked from my writing, and while I don't necessarily regret my decision, I will miss making you folks happy and entertained.
I may explain in greater detail exactly why later, or in my other blog on Tumblr, but suffice it to say, my love for ponies has been on a slow ebb since midway through season 2, namely because of the directions the show has decided to take and a number of episodes (namely song-heavy parts of season 3) which I felt were very weak have somewhat driven me away, and at this point I simply don't feel the same magic with the show that I had before.
So I'll make this sort of a goodbye, and a big thank-you to everyone who enjoyed my stuff, subscribed to me, etc. You've all been instrumental in improving my writing and I don't regret producing the material I've placed here, on DA and on EQD. So thanks again, everyone! Bye!
