Ok, so this story, needs few touches. One Spike would never enter a place that says restrictive area, he would know better. Maybe you couldn't think of another of everypony entering this world, so how about he sees somepony enter there, this could be foal, hears a scream and goes check it out only to get sucked in the other universe. There needs be more description on the world the main six went to.

I disagree about Spike not going into the restricted area. When you're writing an alternative universe story you can adjust personalities anyway you want. Still there is way too little description to evoke the kind of excitement one could expect from an adventure genre.

Well yes but if that was the case, more needs be established about the world and it's characters and the motive between said actions. If it was shown that Spike had the tendency to do things like open restricted areas out of boredom, I would not complain.
