Having fun by taking silly cartoon ponies way too seriously.

This is what the slice of life tag was meant for. A charming day in the life of the Apple family.
That was surprisingly nice and charming. I suppose that was the goal, but I have to say that it was a delight to see the Apple family with a day in the spotlight here.
Not much more to say, but it definitely deserves a like.
HiddenMaster out.
I'm a cookie maker myself, but this looks fun to make. Cute story.
First I read a recipe for Dr. Pepper cake, now I find story about Apple Cider Caramels?
My sweet tooth tingles!
Ah, it was you!! Thank you kindly.

You're very welcome!
Ah - many happy memories of making toffee when I was a child, although we used mint for flavouring and it inevitably came out like mint-cake.
Nice to see the old method of testing the toffee as well - I always used that, never could get the hang of that ruddy thermometer.

I'll have to try mint, it sound good! I've used coffee and that came out well.
Secret Santa? Ah, so you were the guy that couldn't resist and posted early?
Definitely going to read this. If I've learned anything, it's that your untraditional stories are very special and often very good, like The Quest or One Heck of a Case.
Mixed thoughts on this one. On one hand, it comes across as a recipe dressed up as a story, which dilutes it a bit as a story (lots of dialogue that contributes neither to characterization nor to plot). On the other hand, I'd been doing the "soft-ball" test wrong when I'd tried it many years ago, so this has definitely taught me something.
Not my usual fare, but considering the only story you have written that I haven't read clocked in at only 1.5k words, I felt I might as well. If I ever go (more) insane or, god-forbid, actually decide to touch a stove, maybe I'll try making candy.
That sounds delicious.
