After seeing "Luna Eclipsed", a lot of people were asking why Celestia let her sister dear go out to Ponyville, all decked up as the Metal Queen of Darkness, complete with bat-guards and a murderchariot right out of Nightmare Night stories. Shouldn't she have told her sister about how things had changed, and that her grand entrance might backfire?
Here, then, is my take of how Celestia's attempts went. It turns out that Luna can out-flank her scheming sister sometimes!

I like this, this is how I see Luna too. She probably thinks spiders are super cute and hates kittens and baby ducks.
Was her chariot named Mars? Because Phobos and Deimos are the moons of Mars. And I like the idea of enchanted armour that makes all guards look the same, it makes a lot of sense. I think I kind of recognise it, though - did you come up with it, and if not, where did you get if from?
But for the story, it was pretty fun. Thumbs up, would read again.
753271 Phobos and Deimos mean "Fear" and "Dread", respectively, and seemed to go nicely with how Luna was portrayed in Luna Eclipsed - a bit archaic, self-consciously regal, earnestly awkward, and unintentionally terrifying!
The idea of the enchanted armor making the guards uniform is not my idea, but I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I can't say where I picked it up from, or where it originated. It's a fairly wide-spread piece of fanon.
720244 In the Chessverse stories, Luna used to have a Mega-Tarantula, still can't remember the name. Celestia hid the thing in a jungle temple shrotly after Luna's banishment.
1000 years later and Griffin the griffin is nearly killed by the damn thing.
And Luna finds a NEW pet spider named Mitzy...whom is a normal-ish tarantula....which is immune to fire. And stubborn....and when I say 'immune to fire' I mean this bitch WILL NOT DIE! LAVA CAN'T EVEN KILL IT!

Lovely short story, It gave a nice little explanation to the events of Luna Eclipsed, with the guards, chariot and all that, I must say, her taste is indeed quite...unique, and of course, Trollestia pulls it off again by not warning our magnificent Night Princess that Ponyville isnt ready for such awesomeness.

have you thought of making a sequel or at lest another chapter to this story about Luna telling Celestia about the night after she comes bake and also one about what Celestia after Luna left up untill Luna came home
This was quite an amusing little story -- not screamingly funny, but pleasant to read and giving me a nice smile. The alicorns are nicely characterised and it's a very decent entry in the ranks of Royal Sisters fics.
