I wonder about the incomplete. Does that mean you have more thing on the same theme comming up?
Because there is sure a lot of question about the setting that could be asked. Answering even a few of those would be great!
I enjoyed reading this story in the contest. I felt like facehoofing though when I found out you were the author. It should have been obvious with how many of your stories I read, but I never made the connection.
so there is a more to this story!? I wander what happened to Equestria, it sounds like it doesn't exist anymore for a long time, and why are the princesses looking over those humans who go to great the beyond? So if I understand it correctly, the boy died in the Eastern war front of WWI right?
6842206 First thing first, it is complete. I just made a mistake while creating the story back when I wrote it in... what? November? December? So, yeah, I forgot to double check that detail.
So, I'm afraid this story does not have new content planned for. Honestly, considering where the main character has arrived in the end, I don't think it would be in my best interest as a writer to even try to write that place.

6842558 There is more lore to the story itself, but I won't be adding to what you have there. If you want some answers... well... infodump: There is no more Equestria. It's been gone for a long time. Immortals go to their own place in due time. There is more than one way to reach the top of the tower, but the path is always ultimately the same. They do not watch over humans, specifically. The White Tower is not a place but a journey. One day, the princesses will find their own.
And finally, I'm just going to say, he was probably around that place and that time, but I don't want to get into details.
