Seriously great. I think this the best Scootalove story I've ever read, and I have read large number of these. This stands out from the rest for several reasons. One is the plot. The narrative establishes a simple problem, and doesn't lose sight of it. There's no divergence into the Scootaloo's home life or Rainbow Dash's past. Although it's mentioned, the story knows it isn't about those things. Instead, it uses those elements to enhance what is going on.
Add to that, visual and well written prose, and a genuinely heartwarming scene, and you have a well crafted well written EPIC story.

And then her new feathers filled in, big and beautiful, and she could scoot on her scooter faster than ever before! She discovers her talent in racing and discovers her wings are now big enough to carry her weight! Dashie teaches her to fly, and they all lived happily ever after!
This was...wow, I am speechless. This was so emotional, and the connection between Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash is constantly and clearly shown throughout the entire story. Absolute cheers and a round of applause for you, this is absolutely amazing, if not, flawless. (Story Rating: 11/10)

The text is bunched up more than I'd like, but that's just me. Subject-wise, I think it's a fine piece of work, and executed wonderfully. Pretty much everything I expected from the title is in the story: Rainbow being clumsy at preening because she's an only child, Scootaloo being embarrassed about the whole thing... Rainbow does sound slightly OOC at times, especially near the end, but it works in context.
Inspired by a horrible picture. Turned into something heartwarming.
I'm not kidding, Gavalanche is a talented artist, but with a proportional mean streak. I saw the guys gallery. It was the cause of more cringes and face palms then any other one gallery yet. The contents tend to leave the viewer feeling sad for somepony.

Well like I said, I kind of did this as a challenge for myself. I wanted to do something for major, and he suggested this pic. I was kind of hesitant at first, but I didn't like the idea of backing down at all. But I just didn't have the heart to make it mean at all, I had to make it sweet.
Some artists just show their love for the series in different ways. I don't always agree with them, but I still respect them.
Cute.
This does feel like it could be expanded into a much larger story with this being a trigger that sets everything in motion.
As a short little one-shot, it's cute; but I'd love to see a fleshed out story with this concept.
The stripped-wings bit made me cringe a little, but this was an adorable story.

Quite touching and most interesting. I enjoyed this.
I find that a great choice of words were used in this story! I found it easy to follow through with the action and such.
Besides that, the story really stays true to Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo's personalities!

I'm surprised people keep enjoying this story. I consider it to be one of my worst, somewhere between Battle for the Crown and You Will Never.
