I honestly can't remember an episode of Doctor Who where there was a pool in the TARDIS, and I'm a pretty avid fan of the series.  Maybe my memory just sucks :C

Well... I'm in an awkward position.

See, I like to at least READ things I review before I give them a proper review; but I honestly and legitimately couldn't do that here.  Part of it is a time issue, I'll admit, but the rest is basically that it's just so hard to actually read.  Now, I'll come clean, I'm not really that big on parodies in general; I can appreciate the fact that a lot of people like them, and well done ones CAN be enjoyable.  But this... if I had to say it, it seems like it's trying a bit to hard to BE a parody.  It reads more like a bad attempt to write a human in Equestria fic; which may be part of what you wanted, but you did your job a little too well this time.  I won't say it's bad, as there's clearly a lot of people who enjoyed it, but it just seems a little too much for me.

Maybe when I find the time, I'll give it a second go and see if there's anything that I can gleam from it that would make it worth my time, but I can't make any promises.

I suspect this will be a lot of fun, if you update it at all. I'm concerned that, given the new rules, it might be a bit hypocritical to continue. Of course, that's taking the wider definition of meta-fiction. If the new rule refers to the more narrow version, then by all means, lead us into glorious laughter.

I'm glad to see this, regardless. I love me some HiE, but there's so much out there that's absolutely horrid that it gets difficult to browse through the archive looking for new ones to read. Since you are a Mod, and given that you've proven yourself with this chapter, I'm more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Looks like the Unicorn chapter is going to involve TSC. I can't wait to see what sort of awesome chaos that creates, and I also kind of wonder whether it's going to be elaborated on more in an actual TSC chapter or if it's just going to be a funny non-canon side story.

I've only ever seen it on occasions where it could be argued to be justified, such as an AU where the theme song is radically different as a result of being an AU, or somepony who has seen past the fourth wall and gone mad from the revelation. Honestly, they aren't all that annoying.

Of course, I don't read the front page much these days, so it's perfectly possible for that kind of thing to be a hallmark of more-downs-than-ups stories.
