This was... an unexpected sequel to an heartwarming story.

Heh, right. Umm, here's the thing, in case you don't know: initially the idea was to write a whole fanfic that was very focused on combat, on fights, on a certain style of writing I'm not too experienced with. The reason being, my next story is going to be all about the fights. It's a Naruto spoof/parody, whatever the word is. So I wanted to at least get some practice in in that style.
But then the first idea I had involved scenes that would actually happen within that story's canon, and have some emotional impact on that story, as well. And at this point, it had been in the making for three or four years, so I couldn't afford any more delays for extra scenes. So I scrapped that idea.
But where to put a simple fight scene, then? Well... here it is.
Glad you liked it, it certainly was not planned at the inception of this story. Maybe I'll revisit Slam and Griddy sometime, give them a cameo, or use capies in something. Ninja capybaras needs to be a thing
