wizard swears

I'm new to this whole writing fanfiction thing. I've got the reading fanfiction down fine though.

T

Spike is the defacto castle librarian and has decided that he actually likes his job. If only he could stop being dragged into twilight and her friends shenanigans. Scootaloo is homeless and due to her care over the years, no one is aware of this. Oh yeah and There's a couch. it's pretty old.

Obligatory first fanfiction disclaimer.
Obligatory does not have an editor or proofreader excuse.
Inevitable claim that the author has tried his best.

I'm keeping an eye on this:moustache:

So are they humas, or anthro? Humanized, and anthro are not the same.

6833663 I tagged it as both because both exist within the story. Spike would be anthro cause he's part dragon. Scoots would be human.

so what you're saying is that in your story, there's no difference between a "pegasus", a "unicorn", and an "earth pony," since, as you said, they're human and not anthro

6835188
If he is basically a human with vague dragon traits that doesn't really count. That would still be more humanized then anthro.

6835709
well, that gets into the debate of what counts as "anthro," seeing that its technical definition is an animal with human characteristics, the answer is very vague, and as with the Sorites paradox, the question of when it's not is practically non-existent, especially when the original characters are almost COMPLETELY non-human.

6835745
Well, going by general consensus if it istill basically a kemonomimi, a human with vague animal traits such as animal ears and/or a tail with maybe some fur or whatever, then it is not considered anthro. If it is basically a human it can't be considered an anthropomorphic animal.

6836455
but most people don't know the term "kemonomimi" (whose wikipedia article is on the page "Moe anthropomorphism", BTW) and they usually just associate any combination of human and animal traits as "anthro[pomorphism]"

6836630
But most do know what a nekomimi is, even if they don't know the exact term, and don't associate that with anthro. So then anything similar would fall under the same thinking.

Besidso all of that would you honestly say that a human with just a tail falls under the same category as say Bugs Bunny, Star Fox, or Mikey Mouse?
Also even in most fantasy/sci-first with a non-human race is basically human they describe it as humanoid, while other ones are describe as being like some type of animal.

6837031
are you really drawing lines between "human resembling" and "having human attributes" as if it makes your case? and are you REALLY going to say that that japanese word (that I've NEVER heard before and whose wikipedia page practically IS the word you're refusing to use) is ANYWHERE near as widely known/used as a general term for a non-fully-human?

Yes, it's NOT a prefect description, I NEVER said it was; all it EVER says is that it's human-like, but not fully

6837086
Yes. If it is basically human it goes way beyond having just slight human traits.
You might have never heard of it befor, but if you have ever seen an animal cat girl then you basically know what I am talking about. Why I specified they would know what it is without actually knowing the term.
Agree to disagree then. I'm going by what the general concensus is, and tvtropes, and you're going by wikipedia. Either way all very subjective.

Great story so far, can't wait to see where it goes.

Not bad. See what happens in the future, though, and so obviously...

Nice timing on the second chapter, and I hope it doesn't take anywhere near as long to create the next one
