    Gathered Friendship: The FiCG Index

One year ago today, I decided to share the cards I made of the Season 4 premiere. Friendship is Card Games: Luna Eclipsed

Hmm. Maybe I should've moved this one ahead a little. Oh well, too late now. It's still kind of appropriate; Luna wanted a great and glorious feast, and Thanksgiving is coming this Thursday for us Usaians. In any case, it's time for some socially awkward moon horse.

Trottingham doesn't seem to do Nightmare Night, which makes me think that it's not necessarily part of Equestria, or even on the same side of the horse-Atlantic. (There are at least five different names for the Atlantic's analogue on the pony planet, assuming it's even spherical and has an Earth-like geography. (I do, simply for ease of use.) I went with the generic option.) That, or Pipsqueak was just too young to participate until now. A bit ambiguous, that.

Hmm. Twilight explicitly calls Star Swirl a conjurer. Now, I know that that needn't have the same definition in Equestria as it does in D&D, but that implies someone who uses magic to create matter and summon creatures. Which, given the amniomorphic spell, lends credence to the "elaborate 'hairy potter' pun" theory. And yet, his legend has steadily inflated as the writers have needed to call back to great unicorns of the past. Note how here, he only has a shelf in the Canterlot library. I'll have more to say about this when I get to "It's About Time."

Country music is confirmed to exist in Equestria. It therefore isn't a utopia, given the number of broken hearts, stolen trucks carts, and run-over dogs that that implies. :raritywink:

I'm going to have to justify the Derpy cameos in the context of Elementals of Harmony, aren't I? Eh, only if I want to. Indeed, it might prove interesting. I've actually been sitting on an explanation for her costume since shortly after the episode aired. On an unrelated note, given how the paper bags aren't water-damaged, she clearly gave them protection from blue. (Or perhaps green. Given the color and the bubbling, it seems to be Mountain Dew. No, definitely blue in that case. Nothing natural there.)

Dammit Pinkie, stop being terrible. Also, ponies have the memory retention of goldfish when the plot requires it. That, or it was just the spirit of the season combined with Luna's own bombast and/or recovery. (Which, of course, raises the question of what rock Luna's been hiding under for the past several months, at minimum. But that's a different matter that has been long discussed.)

Luna's explanation for her habitual use of the TRCV is actually kind of horrifying. She cites her banishment as the reason why she's not sure she can turn down the volume, implying that she was screaming the entire time.

I really like that Luna can shapeshift. It works with my fanfiction, it makes sense as part of the whole "moon" theme (through both lycanthropy and lunar phases,) and I just like the concept of shapeshifting in general.

Trivia: As is the case for everything after Season 1, some of these cards were made shortly after the episode aired. Lunaphobia was originally called Cower in Fear, but then Magic 2013 happened. On a similar note, Royal Voice was made before Dragon's Maze.

And yes, that is a new keyword. Alicorn is basically a lesser form of changeling. (The Lorwyn kind, not the Equestria kind.) And yes, it was retroactively applied to both Celestia and Luna in the "Friendship is Magic" blog. Basically, I just wanted alicorns to count as every kind of pony, and there wasn't room on the type line.

Now, let us celebrate that most wonderful of nights, a score and three days after the fact:

    Muffle 1W

Abilities of creatures can't be activated or triggered this turn.

When Twilight Sparkle can't hear herself think, she takes steps to remedy the problem.

    Cloister 3W

    You have hexproof.

Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you.

When you cast a spell, activate an ability that isn't a mana ability, or attack with one or more creatures, sacrifice Cloister.

    Lunar Corsair 3W

    Creature — Pony Pirate

Lunar Corsair gets +1/+1 for each black permanent your opponents control.

Even the purest who act in Luna's name have a certain roguish charm.

    Down the Drain 2UU

Return all blue creatures to their owners' hands.

"I swear that wormhole wasn't there when I started apple bobbing."

    —Ditzy Doo

    Twilight's Lecture 2UU

Target player draws three cards and skips his or her next untap step.

Twilight Sparkle's teaching methods don't give students new information so much as they besiege them with it.

    Historical Obscurity 3U

Legendary creatures you control have hexproof.

    "Princess who now?"

    Star Swirl the Bearded 3UU

    Legendary Creature — Unicorn Wizard

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal an instant or sorcery card. If you do, you may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then put the rest into your graveyard.

    Fright-or-Biters 1B

    Creature — Pony Child

Whenever Fright-or-Biters deals combat damage to a player, you gain 4 life unless that player discards a card.

"Few horrors of the night can compare to foals eager for sweets."

    —Princess Luna

    Chiropteran Cloak 2B

    Enchantment — Aura

    Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has flying.

2B, Sacrifice Chiropteran Cloak: Put two 1/1 black Bat creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield.

Princess Luna always dresses in style.

    Luna's Coachpony 3B

    Creature — Bat Pegasus Soldier

Whenever a legendary creature you control becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, that player loses 2 life.

If you're going to be guarding the princess of the moon on Nightmare Night, you might as well look the part.

    Nightmare Night 3B

Creatures you control gain intimidate until end of turn. Pony, Pegasus, and Unicorn creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn.

There are very few concepts that ponies won't make into a festival.

    Luna's Decree 3BB

Name a nonland card. Search any number of graveyards, hands, and/or libraries for all cards with that name and exile them. Then each player whose library was searched this way shuffles it.

Generally speaking, try not to offend the moon goddess.

    Luna, Moon Princess 4BBB

    Legendary Creature — Avatar

Alicorn (This card is a Pony Pegasus Unicorn at all times.)

    Flying, indestructible

B: Target Pony, Pegasus, or Unicorn gains protection from black until end of turn.

B: Target spell or permanent becomes black until end of turn.

"Fear not the darkness, my ponies, for it holds naught more terrible than I."

    Shadowbolt Surprise 2RR

Shadowbolt Surprise deals 4 damage to target non-Pegasus creature.

Hoofcraft — If you control three or more Ponies, Pegasi, and/or Unicorns, creatures can't block this turn.

    "Ha! Look at them jump!"

    —Rainbow Dash, Bearer of Loyalty

    Haunted Hayride 1G

    Choose one or both —

    • Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

    • Return target land card from your graveyard to your hand.

Mac the Ripper's hayrides are always popular with the mares of Ponyville.

    Force Out 2GG

You and target opponent reveal your hands. You and that player choose a creature card from the other's hand if able. If both players chose a card this way, each puts the card chosen from his or her hand onto the battlefield under his or her control.

Fluttershy prefers to stay in Nightmare Night. She doesn't always have that choice.

    Mooncrawler Swarm 3G

    Creature — Spider

    Intimidate, reach, vigilance

Luna quickly learned that spiders are not normally associated with fun.

    Spooky Costume 2

    Artifact — Equipment

As Spooky Costume enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.

Equipped creature has intimidate and is the chosen type in addition to its other creature types.

    Equip 2

    "I'm a dragon."

    Nightmare Monument 3

Nightmare Monument enters the battlefield tapped.

T, Pay 1 life: Add BB to your mana pool.

Nightmare Moon is gone, but her dark powers have not been forgotten.

    Pumpkin Launcher 3

    Artifact Creature — Construct

Hoofcraft — T: Pumpkin Launcher deals 3 damage to target creature with flying. Activate this ability only if you control three or more Ponies, Pegasi, and/or Unicorns.

"The only thing worse than getting knocked out of the sky is knowing that what did it could have been delicious."

    —Soarin, Wonderbolt lieutenant

    Royal Gratitude BG

    Choose one —

    • Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn. You gain 3 life.

    • Target creature gets +3/+3 until end of turn. You lose 3 life.

Luna's hugs are as much punishment as reward.

    Illusory Nightmare 1(ur)B

    Creature — Illusion Nightmare

Whenever Illusory Nightmare attacks or blocks, sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.

Zebra magic can conjure images as lifelike as they are fleeting.

    Barred Access 1UR

If a creature would be returned to a hand, Barred Access deals 3 damage to that creature instead. (If the creature survives, it stays on the battlefield.)

Sometimes running away just isn't an option.

    Terrifying Entrance 1BR

Whenever a creature with intimidate enters the battlefield under your control, creatures can't block this turn.

Living on the edge of the Everfree leaves Ponyville perpetually poised on the precipice of panic.

    Royal Voice 2WU

Counter target spell. If a spell is countered this way, its controller can't cast spells this turn.

The traditional royal Canterlot intonation was designed to exploit alicorn lung capacity to drown out even the most obnoxious courtier.

    Lunaphobia 3UB

Tap all creatures your opponents control. Those creatures get -1/-1 until end of turn.

"As your princess, we command you: BE STILL!"

    —Princess Luna

    Fun Reflection 3(wb)(wb)(wb)

Sources you control deal damage as though they had lifelink.

"It's a different kind of doubling."

    —Pinkie Pie, Bearer of Laughter

Friendship is Card Games: Lesson Zero

I very nearly forgot about this week's Friendship is Card Games. I can think of no more appropriate episode. I also think I handled it better than Twilight. :twilightsheepish:

If you look closely, you can see the sun moving slowly and smoothly just after the theme song. Thus, the sun's motion is somewhat indicative of Twilight's mental state… which had to be concerning for Celestia. Her student subconsciously hacked the sun. Or it was just all in Twilight's head, but I like the other option.

One bit of headcanon I never put into use was punny days of the week. Friendsday, Spursday, Skyday, and so forth. This episode put an end to that. And it was kind of gratuitous anyway.

Between his interaction with Twilight's fantasies and his method of icing removal, Spike has clearly been learning from Pinkie Pie. The dragon mind appears better equipped for interaction with the medium. Interesting...

I think we've pretty much all agreed that Twilight's descent into madness was at least partially prompted by Discord. You don't face down a god of insanity and come out smelling like roses.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate Fluttershy's extreme bear massage. It got a card, but it bears repeating: EXTREME BEAR MASSAGE. :flutterrage:

...I did not intend that "bears repeating" pun, I swear. I blame the Persona 4 Let's Play I've been reading.

Dash is applying sunscreen. Well, we know ponies can get sunburnt from "Magical Mystery Cure." Maybe their coats have fiber optic properties. Hmm. Then it could be the structure of the refractive proteins that gives them their distinctive colors, which could possibly even account for Dash's own prismatic mane. There's potential here…

Celestia displays some minor scrap of her full glory. Then she trolls the crap out of the Mane Six. Constructively, mind you, but still, "I'll forget Twilight's punishment on one condition." Tia, you shameless, magnificent bastard.

And now for a decidedly non-tardy collection of cards:

    Covered in Icing 1W

    Enchantment — Aura

    Enchant creature

    Enchanted creature has lifelink.

Sacrifice Covered in Icing: Enchanted creature's controller gains life equal to its toughness.

"Spend enough time around Pinkie Pie and you get used to it."

    Obsessive Compulsion 1W

Whenever a player casts his or her first spell each turn, that player can't cast spells that have different converted mana costs than that spell this turn.

Discord didn't harm a hair on the Bearers' bodies, but he still left scars.

    Take Cover 1W

Tap all creatures you control. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to them this turn.

Digging a trench is an essential step when asking Rainbow Dash for help.

    Equalized Icing 2W

If a player would gain life, each player gains 1 life instead.

Sometimes fair treatment means that everyone is equally unsatisfied.

    Solar Cleansing 3WWW

    Exile all artifacts and enchantments.

The purgative power of Celestia's sun cannot be overemphasized.

    Chain Teleportation U

Until end of turn, target creature gains "1U: Exile this creature, then return it to the battlefield under its owner's control and it gains this ability until end of turn."

Even Twilight's nervous habits display her incredible capability.

    Disrupt Delusion 1U

Counter target spell that targets you.

    Draw a card.

Every unicorn needs a few hornless friends to remind her how being sane works.

    Thorough Search 2U

Look at the top two cards and the bottom two cards of your library. Put one of them into your hand and the rest into your graveyard.

"I could've sworn it was around here somewhere."

    —Rarity, Bearer of Generosity

    Excessive Preparation 2UU

    Players can't cast spells.

At the beginning of each player's draw step, that player draws an additional card.

When a player has seven or more cards in his or her hand, sacrifice Excessive Preparation.

    Curse of Tardiness 4U

    Enchantment — Aura Curse

    Enchant player

Enchanted player can't cast spells from his or her hand.

Each nonland card in enchanted player's hand has suspend 1. The suspend cost is equal to its mana cost.

    Magic Kindergarden B

At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a Unicorn.

1U: Put a 1/1 blue Unicorn creature token onto the battlefield.

Canterlot unicorns start conspiring before they learn the alphabet.

    The Worst Possible Thing B

Target player reveals his or her hand. You choose a card from it with the greatest converted mana cost among those cards. That player discards that card.

Flashback 4B (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)

    Misplaced Priorities 3BB

Target player reveals his or hand. Choose a card from it. That player discards the rest.

"Rainbow must be angry with Applejack! She must hate her guts! How wonderful!"

    —Twilight Sparkle, Bearer of Magic

    Ad Absurdum 3BBB

Each player reveals the top card of his or her library, puts that card into his or her hand, and loses life equal to its converted mana cost. You may repeat this process any number of times.

    Fear follows its own logic.

    Nervous Breakdown XB

Target player's maximum hand size is reduced by X until the next turn.

    Draw a card.

"It's fine. Everything's fine. I may have to incite a riot, but it will all be fine."

    Claw Cramp R

Claw Cramp deals damage to target player equal to the number of cards that player drew this turn.

"I should charge by the word. Twilight would be working for me by the end of the week."

    Clock is Ticking 2R

Whenever a time counter is removed from a permanent or a suspended card, Clock is Ticking deals 1 damage to that permanent's controller or that card's owner.

"Time dislikes disruptions in its natural processes, and makes that displeasure known quite firmly."

—Star Swirl the Bearded, Meditations on Chronomancy

    Object of Desire 3R

    Enchantment — Aura

    Enchant nonland permanent

Creatures attack enchanted permanent's controller each combat if able.

Whenever a creature deals combat damage to enchanted permanent's controller, that creature's controller gains control of enchanted permanent.

    Intense Massage 1G

    Choose one —

    • Regenerate target creature.

    • Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control.

Entwine 1G (Choose both if you pay the entwine cost.)

    Erudite Doll 4

    Artifact Creature — Construct

Whenever Erudite Doll is dealt damage, you may draw a card.

Dissertations have been written about her mane.

    Drama Couch 5

T: Prevent the next 2 damage that would be dealt to you this turn.

"A lady does not allow her sorrow to leave grass stains on her coat."

    —Rarity, Bearer of Generosity

    Twilight Deranged 1UBR

    Legendary Creature — Unicorn Wizard

Each instant and sorcery card in your hand has madness. The madness cost is equal to the colored mana symbols in that card's mana cost. (For example, if its mana cost is 3UB, it has madness UB. If you discard the card, you may cast it for its madness cost instead of putting it into your graveyard.)

Whenever Twilight Deranged deals combat damage to a player, each player discards a card.

    Break the Line 2RW

Destroy all creatures blocking target attacking creature. That creature gains trample until end of turn.

Few unicorns and pegasi appreciate just what earth ponies are capable of when they push themselves.

    Atomic Rainboom 8

    (WUBRG) Instant

If you spent W to cast Atomic Rainboom, destroy all enchantments. If you spent U to cast it, counter all other spells. If you spent B to cast it, all creatures get -4/-4 until end of turn. If you spent R to cast it, destroy all nonbasic lands. If you spent G to cast it, destroy all artifacts.

Friendship is Card Games: Return of Harmony

  • ...

This story is a sequel to Elementals of Harmony

Ditzy Doo returns home one day to find an old friend waiting for her with dire news and a brain in a jar. With the latter, she will witness the answer to a pair of ominous questions: What if Jin-Gitaxias was a brony? What if New Phyrexia tried to invade Equestria?

As noted above, this is a sequel. Read the first story first, or little if anything will make sense. A certain level of gore and body horror will inevitably arise, given the nature of Phyrexia (For the card game illiterate: Like the Borg, but with more magic and much less attachment to the humanoid form.)

Now on hiatus pending a reboot.

So, you decided to make this a story of its own. Me likey!

#2 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

I WAS planning to go to bed, but...

#3 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

Oh, boy. This isn't going to end well for Twilight when Unka Discord and his crew show up to inject a little chaos into New Phyrexia's order. (How very odd that I've just turned a character voiced by De Lancie into another Trek Icon: Janeway!!)

"I think we passed rude a long time ago."

It's times like this that I half-expect a pony version of Jethro Gibbs to show up and say "Ya think??"

#5 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Early Onset ·

Hmmm... perhaps if Ditzy really wanted to put a stop to this, she could get in touch with a large, metal person fond of saying two things:

1) Till All Are One

2) Freedom is the right of all sentient (and heavily-armed) beings.

#6 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

I saw this on the main page and all i saw was the picture and thought "Pyramid Head. time for a Silent Hill story" then i read the discription

#7 · 129w, 4d ago · 1 · · Incubation ·

An excellent chapter once again! I'm glad that I opted to read it before going to bed.

Also, thaliamancy made sense to me.

#8 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

#9 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

EDIT: Oh Jesus this is going to be even more epic than the last one, isn't it? I don't know if my body is ready.

#10 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

So is this just the chapters from 'Sideboard' or a continuation of the chapters from 'Sideboard' or what?

#11 · 129w, 4d ago · · · Incubation ·

Wait, what pumpkin?

(glad to see you read homestuck, it is awesome, this is awesome, & phyrexians are awesome)

(all will be one)

#12 · 129w, 3d ago · · · Incubation ·

Holy crap. The name of my story's Main Character's hometown is Praetor.

#13 · 129w, 3d ago · · · Incubation ·

>>686406 Does this mean future!Discord is going to go back in time and offer highly advanced technology designed to fight off the Phyrexians to his younger self, while also infecting himself with a virus designed to screw them over if he becomes compleated?

Wait, I'm writing the story. Why am I asking you? :rainbowhuh: :raritywink:

>>686436 The only problem with this is that 18-wheelers make for poor disguises in quasimedieval settings. Aside from that, this is awesome.

Also, if Prime ever were compleated, we could get the best of both worlds! Trukk and munky! :pinkiecrazy:

>>686541 :pinkiegasp: Really? Could you explain it to me? I'm just taking Pinkie's word for it.

What? I can't be the only one who's had the party pony as a coauthor, can I?

>>687050 The introduction and "Incubation" are new material. The other two chapters were in Sideboard. More are on the way, the next chapter being tentatively titled "Visible Symptoms."

>>687061 I am fairly certain that there were never any webcomic references in this story, and frankly the very idea strikes me as silly and nonsensical. :raritywink:

#14 · 129w, 3d ago · · · Incubation ·

He'd be Transtech Optimus!

This doesn't look good...

Oh, crap. Time for somepony:derpyderp2: to layeth upon Twilight a smackdown. When the pony I have in mind does do so, it won't be by accident; she WILL understand what went wrong. :pinkiehappy::rainbowlaugh:

Jesus Spike is big...

>>686436 IDK... metallic lifeforms might get affected by phyrexia oil even faster than organic ones.

Twilight's gone off the deep end again... this is where everything goes to crap. Luna! Drop the moon!

#21 · 127w, 6d ago · · · Incubation ·

I love how you described red phyrexia.

Holy shit lagomorphs are boss.

Cadence demonstrates the true power of love. It probably won't work.

And Chaotic Celestia versus Phyrexian Twilight. Battle of the fucking millenium, that shit'll be crazy.

Oh, goody. The Elements of Chaos versus Compleated Twilight. This oughta good. Hey! Maybe Lauren will wake up and we can have some real fun!!

I hope Zecora is indeed planning on fighting Glissa, and is not leading Applejack into some trap.

Somepony purify Twilight already, before she suffers permanent mental damage? As is, she's already turning into another Locutus.

Also, wow that is an impressive rabbit culture there. Seriously.

That had been what had made her stop in the first place, the tattoo of only two hooves rather than four.

"Tattoo" isn't the right word here. I think you meant something more like "sound".

Also, a trillion Scovilles? Remind me to never go near that stuff. Most law enforcement grade pepper spray is under two billion.

>>785637 Tattoo. n. 2. A knocking or strong pulsation: My heart beat a tattoo on my ribs.

Your concern is appreciated, though.

Huh. I've never encountered that definition before. You learn something new every day!

>>785671 Happy to be of assistance. Did you like the chapter?

Oh yes, very much so. I must say that I'm very curious as to how far Pinkie will go towards the "darker" side of her Element, as it would seems that she isn't quite aware of how much the oil is having an effect on her.

by Luna The blight dragon in Equestria.

Is that... The blight dragon? Uh, one point for the invasion.

And oral holocaust, from now on I want to use this term.

And Trixie, you have no idea what you're getting yourself into. It really seems like the forces of good are taking a few more hits than they can handle. Although, Pumpkin's been keeping the narrative focus off of whatever decisive macguffin they're cooking up. Who knows.

Ohhhh dear....

Well, geeze. One one hand, Iambic Heptameter Zecora and the KoL shoutout made me squee. But on another, I just really dislike your giga-Flanderized supergod-planeswalker-genre-savvy-Discord's-mom Pinkie.

Oh I love everything about this story. Everything.

Now excuse me while I pick up the latest Magic game on steam.

OH my head... I'm not sure which part of this story I like more. It's all so magnificently funny and awesome... Did you distill TTGL and mix it with Magic and MLP or something!?

>>785877 >>785977

Yup, that'd be ol' Skittles himself. His handler's mind got eaten by one Sheoldred's paperweights, so Urabrask has had him on retainer for a bit. At least, he has for the sake of the story.

Writing Zecora's dialogue is always something of an adventure, given that I actually care about keeping some kind of meter. I figured "anxiety = more elaborate rhyming schemes" would make a good excuse for... well, more elaborate rhyming schemes. :derpytongue2:

Sorry you don't like Pinkie. (On the other hand, if I didn't make her the ridiculous being she is, how else could I have fit in the Loathingarian reference? :raritywink:) Rest assured, though, the other Thanes are by no means going to be a cakewalk. Blowing up Ish Sah kind of blew the element of surprise along with it.

Thank you both. :pinkiehappy: As for the matter of blending ponies, mana, and Spiral Energy, I don't believe I did, though there is that one scene in chapter 17 of Elementals of Harmony where Luna decides to, and I quote, "kick pity to the curve and move beyond the regrettable.":trixieshiftright:

>>797843 true but I would suspect the hidden to send a moltensteel dragon instead.

No, I'd say this story already has a fairly large amount of 'authorial bull-honkery'.

I'm not sure if this counts as abuse of the fourth wall or not...

>>914259 I'm preeeetty sure that the fourth wall was sodomized in this chapter...

with a jackhammer...

and nitroglycerin.

Why not Specimens # 28 and 142? :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:

'Trixie Hobbitses':facehoof:

"I don't think she's being corrupted, Shining. I think the corruption's getting Sparkled."
Yes, Phyrexian oil does have a way of making you think you're beating it, doesn't it?

Would that be Archchancellor Riddle Cruller?

>>1020552 In order:

*Because specimen 28 had a nasty tendency to cease to exist before the first incision could be made. (Also, since Besieged was the second set, I added 249 [the number of cards in Scars] to the Commando's collector's number.)

*That's been her name since Elementals of Harmony. :ajsmug:

*No comment at this time. :scootangel:

*Maaaaaybe. :trollestia:

>Trixie Hobbitses

The plot thickens! So many threads to keep track of. Also nice to see Steven Magnet kick some ass. I love that guy.

Hmmm, judging from this chapter, methinks that when Twilight learns that the hot stallion didn't really care about her and was using her as a vector to spread the Oil, Phyrexia will learn the fury of a mare scorned...

Weeeee update. :)

I counted 2 references to Discworld in a casual glance (weatherwaxed vamperism and the arch archchancellor). There may be more I missed.

Not sure if Skitecrafter could get past the rules committee.  But a clever card idea.

I have read many stories on this site, but yours is the first that I have been compelled enough to comment on that I had to make an account. And that comment is... Trixie Hobbitses. You magnificent bastard. That has to be the best name for any character I have ever seen, and I love you for it.

That is all.

So Rainbow Dash now has permanent Magefire Wings? Nice.

Jin-Gitaxias has direly underestimated Twilight Sparkle. She isn't pure Blue; she's Izzet-style Blue-Red (Izzet brains and Izzet boilers: contents under pressure!). She has a much larger capacity for raw destruction than Gitaxias is anticipating, and once she realizes that his goals are incompatible with hers and are inflexible, she will unleash that destructive potential.
