Keeper Of Tartarus

My name is Esau Cursehoof. I am a mare that lived with my family in Tartarus, the most well-known and strongest prison in Equestria, as Keepers. But that was only until the Changeling incident happened. Now all those that I loved are dead and they'll never come back.

Now that I'm Head Keeper and the sole survivor, I don't know what to do anymore. But then, the Princess Celestia gave me a chance, to start anew in a place called Ponyville.

I like it. Minor (very minor) grammatical errors, but on the whole a pleasant read.
Satisfies my 3 conditions.
1 - I enjoyed it
2 - Easy to read (not overly complicated and a maze of words)
3 - I want to know more about the characters

Very few grammatical errors; not enough to detract from the story. An interesting premise. For the most part cleanly written as well.

You have my curiosity for the moment.

Edit: On a side note, it might be worth finding a picture to go along with it. I know more than a few people simply overlook stories without one at times. (Think bright shiny object.)
