Colour me interested, despite never following this series. I'm for some reason delighted with their country being an America-equivalent to British Equestria, at the same time as Equestria doubles as a generic "Old Country" from some Hammer horror movie.
Nice to see a decent My Little Pony Tales crossover. And good to see that you made it fit into the FiM universe along with G1's Dream Valley.
This should be an interesting story, and can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Even if diplomatic protection rules don't exist, such heinous acts against foreign nationals demands swift and decisive response from all pony nations.

I actually picture My Little Pony Tales as the golden age that existed before Discord appeared on the scene and AFTER G1 MLPs. Opposed to Firehoof who has the seasons happen in reverse order.

These first two chapters do a good job at setting up the plot as well as the characters. This is important because, sadly, not all people will watch Tales coming into this. This isn't the fault of the communtity but more of the fault of guys like CR where they paint the show into a very negative light. Ignoring all of the good parts of the show (Please see the Nostalgia Chick's review of the first movie) and focusing on the bad. Like for instance, forgetting that the girls do actually have 'some' character. As you have shown through just a few pages worth of dialouge and description.
One thing that will always draw me into this world of yours is the idea that G1 and such takes place in the years after the show, when time is not kind to the world of Equestria. these type of stories will always fascinate me and get me interested, so seeing the world of Tales throught the eyes of Celestia and Luna is quite interesting.
God this is horriying, yet so awesome
Ahhhh, what a wonderufl trip down memory lane that this fic was. I loved the twists and turns that this fic takes, such as the discovery of what Coltonville was doing to the fillies and colts. I may have a few things I personally disagree with (The lack of earth pony magic, but that is mainly because a certain bad fic ruined the idea for me.) but it’s only a small problem compared to the more interesting take on the world.
