At first I thought this was the similarly titled Friendship is Tragic which depicted Twilight in the future after having awoken from a coma meeting her friends again, finding out how changed they all are (for the worse in all cases) and although I'm glad it's not that heart-wrenching fanfiction, I'm finding myself reading about Pinkie's death instead I wonder where you'll take this, Can't wait for the next installment. =]

You've given plenty of hooks for the rest of the story: a murder mystery, the falling apart of the Mane 6, and the overly-big storm.  This is an excellent start to a story!

This is an excellently made story, i'm intrigued to find where you take this next. It's a sad story, but yet, still hasn't made me cry . I hope the next installments will make me cry so hard, the manly tears must be shed for this story!

Great update as it seems that Twilight is falling for Rarity, and who wouldn't.

It also seems that even Twilight was affected by Pinkie's death as it shows that despite her unusual behavior, Pinkie was a truly good friend to Twilight and the others. Which now makes me wonder what will happen when the five Elements all reunite with other ?

I also wonder whether or not Spike will make an appearance in the story, given his connection to Pinkie ?

I must say for such an emotional storyline like this one, it seems to make Rarity look like a bad Pony and a bad friend.

However, within her own chapter, it shows Rarity full of regret over her own actions with Pinkie Pie that lead to her death.

Still, it makes me wonder whether or not any of the girls can understand Rarity's actions and reasion for her behavior.

Also, I was wondering for a mini chapter or two focusing on the reunion between the Cutie Mark Crusaders, since they too play a major and minor role in the lives of the Mane 6 ?

This is a good story, but you might want to make a slight edit...

Twilight saw how Rarity treated Applejack.  Most people, when they see how person A treats person B, think that's how person A will treat them...

...so why did Twilight fall for this nasty personality?

One way to handle it is to have Applejack say something equally nasty to Rarity, so that Twilight would see both as equally bad.

Twipie, that is kind of funny and cute in a way. However, maybe it was Rarity way of handling her guilt on Pinkie's death ?
