No One and Nobody

Just a brother and sister writing some fun stories.

T

Blueblood is one of the most hated antagonists in the show MLP. But perhaps there is more to his story than meets the eye. This is my take on Blueblood's early life.
So read on to hear of how that snooty, arrogant stallion we saw in the first season might have more to him than you might know. Who knows? You might even grow to like him. Maybe.
Any constructive criticism is most welcome. My brother and I are still rather new to writing story lines.
About the cover art: I am not an artist. If anyone knows of a better picture, please, let me know.
I rated it teen to be safe.
Please keep the comments clean.

Well I like it so far. You are doing fine ^_^

Okay, This is a story about Blueblood, I get that. However, what happened to the others just proves their point. Canterlot ponies, as well as Wonderbolts, can not change unless they want something in return. I wouldn't blame Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack if they didn't want to come to Canterlot for any social event again.

Plus, why did Celestia single out Rarity. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie were helping her reject Blueblood and AJ even congratulated Rarity after Blueblood ran out. ALL of them should have been made to follow Celestia.

Frankie2, firstly thanks for your input. I always need help becoming a better author. So, regarding your first comment, while Canterlot High Society does tend to follow that trend, one should never assume that a pony won't change because of where he's from. The show always does such a nice job of breaking steryotypes. I.E. Rainbow liking reading or Pinkie having emotions other than sugar-crazy. Also, where the Canterlot ponies hang out amongst themselves, Blueblood is the nephew of Celestia. In my mind, Celestia decided to reign him in (pun intended) after last time. She is one of the most kind and loving ponies around besides Fluttershy. As for her picking on Rarity, well she never did specifically pick on Rarity, she just said, "follow me." also, Celestia being what I'd call a half-god, always seems to know what ponies need to learn what lessons. Maybe it comes with years of practice. I think she knew Rarity needed to learn a lesson while her friends were just kind of acting on the spur of the moment and supporting their friend. Thank you again for the comments and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. I'll answer them to the best of my abilities.

Sorry, I just re-read your comment. All of them DID follow Celestia.

I guess I didn't make that clear. Thanks for catching that.

6607158 No problem. As I read it now, Celestia was looking right at Rarity when she said to 'Come with me'. Rarity then looked at her friends and they all decided to follow. Am I making sense?

Frankie2, yes you do make sense. I added the part you were talking about after I realized my mistake. Thank Celestia I have sharp-eyed readers!

The prince was named Lucifer.

As in the ruler of the Underworld?:applejackconfused:

Okay, a different take. I'm going to take a guess. Blueblood has to constantly struggle with the corruption(?) he inherited from his father and the good he learned from living with his aunts?

6612426 I didn't know that Lucifer was the ruler of the underworld. What mythology is that? I only knew of Hades and Pluto. And as for the second comment... shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! NO SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!:facehoof:

I'm surprised nopony has any reaction to the fact that Blueblood's apparently thousands of years old.

I love this story. I have added it to my favs. Cant wait for more. :derpytongue2:

Sombra was Bluey's dad???:pinkiegasp:
That's a new :twistnerd:.

This was COOL!! I love it!!! you are doing great! Cant wait for more! :pinkiehappy:

Stormwing whacked Blueblood on the head with his forehoof.

"HEY!" exclaimed Blueblood, rubbing his noggin, "What did you do that for?"

"It doesn't matter," Stormwing said, "It is in the past."

"But the past can still hurt."

I see what you did.:ajsmug:

"The Barber of Ponyville? Why that is one of my favorite operas. This is most generous of you. Thank you Prince Blueblood."

I know Granny Smith is old, but I don't think she's that old.:ajbemused:

What can I say, I've always been a Lion King fan. But also, the show itself contradicts itself as to Ponyville's age. In Winter Wrap Up, Twilight says that Ponyville is hundreds of years old.

6661736 She did? I can maybe see Ponyville being two or three hundred years old (we have no idea how long Earth ponies live), but around the time of Sombra is pushing it a little for me. Then again, this show has never met a continuity that it liked.

6663108 exactly. And since the show can't even make up its mind as to Ponyville's age, I call that freedom to choose whichever explanation I like. And I believe Twilight.

Pinkie sobbed holding a soaked box of tissues in her hooves.

"That's HORRIBLE!!!!"

"About Nightmare Moon?" Celestia asked.

"About my dream?" Blueblood asked.

"No silly," PInkie said, brightening up, "It's sad that the party got crashed. If there's anything that makes me sad it a flopped party."

:facehoof::applejackunsure::rainbowhuh::duck::fluttershyouch:
:pinkiesad2:: What? It's true.

I like this story. It's really interesting and it makes me look over events in the show in a different ways. You've have even made me like Blueblood (kinda). How can that be? :applejackunsure::rainbowhuh:

My only problem, is that a lot of the time I found Pinkie Pie's weirdness and energy in this story irritating. Sure, once or twice it got a chuckle out of me, but still.

Still, I absolutely love this story! :pinkiehappy: I can't wait to read more chapters!

6704431 I like pie too.:pinkiehappy: I'm sorry that Pinkie is annoying you. I'll have to have a talk with her about that:pinkiesad2:. In all seriousness though, she's always been my kinda favorite (:fluttercry::twilightangry2::raritycry::rainbowhuh::ajbemused::applecry::unsuresweetie: sorry guys) (mostly for the random humor), so yeah, I'll try to tone it down, but it may just be my style of writing. Or maybe I didn't write that and Pinkie just broke the fourth wall in fanfiction too!!:pinkiegasp:

Oh and thank you for letting me know your opinion! I appreciate the help!

Also, I like to think in Twilight's vision, she replaces Blueblood. So that's why he isn't seen in the wide angle shots.

Not quite.

Blueblood can not fly.

This is a popular theory I have came across. Blueblood becoming the snob he is known as because that was all he was taught and Celestia was too busy to notice or do something about it until it was too late.

6726865 I didn't specify clearly enough in my comments I guess. He was doing different things than Twilight (like he stayed on the ground when Nightmare Moon and Celestia chased each other around the castle), you just can't see him in that wide-angled shot where Twilight is sitting and crying by Celestia's knocked out body. In my head cannon, when Twilight drank the potion, it showed her only what she needed to see. The theory I have backing this up is that when Celly and Lulu defeated Discord, you didn't see anypony around. Unless Discord killed everypony, (which I doubt he did since he likes annoying them much more) there should have been SOMEPONY around! So the potion had limited powers and showed Twilight only what she needed to see. I'm trying, but having to fit this inside the show's cannon can be really hard sometimes!!!
I'm sorry if the plot line is cliched to you. I hope you still enjoy it nonetheless.
But I must thank you for all the constructive criticism you've been giving me.

I really like the interaction between Blueblood and Stormwing. However, I'm still waiting to see what happened that turned Blueblood into the snob we saw at the gala.

6772793 quoting yet another Disney movie, "Patience Iago." :raritywink:

UPDATE!:pinkiehappy:
:pinkiehappy:
:pinkiegasp:
:fluttershysad:
:fluttercry:
:raritycry:
OH STORMWING!!!:raritydespair:

6793662 seriously though? I don't know why but I thought I'd be the only sad person about that.:applejackunsure: maybe I a better writer than I thought!:pinkiehappy: Yeah, but probably not.:pinkiesick:

Well, we now know why Celestia gave Blueblood that look in the first or second chapter. I know six months at a rock farm was only going to piss him off and resist changing his attitude even more. So, I can't wait to see what happened that made Blueblood want to change.

I just realized something. Wouldn't that be around the time Trixie showed up at the rock farm?

*sigh*
As much as I hate the idea of having to wait a month to see what happened when Bllueblood made it back to Canterlot, I completely understand that real life comes first. Just don't forget about this story like so many authors forget about theirs when they need a break.

6844622 Nobody's brother No One here. Don't worry; we both like writing. I took a long break with my story The Elements in Harmony during my finals and over Christmas break, but I just posted the next chapter today and I intend to get right back in the saddle (so to speak). My sister is the same way. We started writing because we enjoy it, and that's exactly why we will continue.

Well, not necessarily 'mythology,' if Frankie is using the world underworld here as mere synonym for hell rather than some other hellish place from a differing theology.

I never read Fancy Pants and Fleur Dis Lee being father and daughter before. It's good to see Blueblood reconnect with Stormwing's descendants. So, did Blueblood rediscover his talent? If so, when will we find out what it is?

"The Barber of Ponyville? Why that is one of my favorite operas. This is most generous of you. Thank you Prince Blueblood."

Ha!

6916912 I'm not giving away any spoilers but I do know when and how Blueblood will discover his talent. I love being organized and having a plan! Fancypants and Fleur de Lis being father and daughter is entirely in my head cannon because well, I really like Fancypants and the notion that he was dating a mare younger than him kinda... Creeped me out.:twilightoops:

I love being organized and having a plan!

Okay, Hannibal.:rainbowlaugh:

Orville doesn't know about apples? Says the mare who said that apples are ripe when they're 'red'.

No worries. Take your time.
so, Blueblood was sent to the rock farm for six months after the Gala. How much time do you have that passes between the Gala and Discord's release?

7045789 I never really specified but maybe a year? Just because no episodes were made doesn't mean that our little ponies cease having lives and adventures!

This is very well written! I have no idea why I waited so long to read this for myself. I'll be looking forward to reading the rest of the story!

I don't see why Luna doesn't like her nickname. Lulu sounds adorable! This chapter has officially put this story on my favorite list and tracking list!

I'm at a loss for words here. I nearly cried after reading this.

7070031 Thank you so much! It's positive feedback like you and every pony else that makes writing so enjoyable!:pinkiehappy:

Oh my goodness this had me on the literal verge of tears. Rest in peace Stormwing.

Take your time. I also love how you handled discord in this chapter. He's my all time favorite villain and you handled him flawlessly!

Interesting take on 'Luna Eclipsed' from Canterlot's end. I guess Blueblood is still looking for the meaning of his cutie mark? Is the next time we see Blueblood going to be 'Sweet and Elite'? Based on the first chapter, the meeting between the two should be quite...interesting.
