This story is a sequel to Tales of Apple Scratch: The Lieutenant Cloud Kicker
The news reached every outpost of the Royal Guard of Equestria: the Princesses finally started gathering the newest generation of their famous Council of Harmony. Now every unit of the Royal Guard must sent their representatives to swear their allegiance to the Princesses' new Council member. Even the small garnison of Ponyville must sent a delegation to Canterlot, composed of the garnison's leading officer and her three newest recruits, among them the recently-promoted Cloud Kicker who has a whole different reason to meet and swear her allegiance to the new Councilor.
Alternative ending/sequel of the story Tales of Apple Scratch : the Lieutenant Cloud Kicker
As it replaces the epilogue of said story, it's advised to read the prequel first, but it should be able to be readable on its own (at least I hope it is).
Written for Chengar Qordath's Cloud Kicker shipfic event (though I'm hope I'm not breaking the rules of it by inadvertently promoting the prequel.... Oh, well, at least I had fun writing it :p )

Love the cover art you've chosen. I know it's based off the "Winning Pony" series and that you based that personality into your own CK, but still, it fits pretty well.
Poor CK is going to have problems when she gets to the ceremony and finds out that not only did Sunset not win, but she has disappeared too.

Yes! I was really hoping that Cloud would be able to find Sunset.
One thing that's been bugging me, she keeps getting called an officer, even though she's an NCO. In fact an SFC is just 2 ranks bellow 1Sgt, and the second is a lateral promotion, (its like getting promoted from Specialist to Corporal, your'e still and E4 and get paid the same, its just know you have some authority. And while I admit I dont know how Infantry E-7s (SFC) are placed, I know for mechanics they're considered a Company Motor Sargent (Its like a lower ranking 1Sgt that's only in charge of the motorpool) So in Truth she should actually have a lot of Authority and only really answers to the 1Sgt and Co. Not saaying it needs to change right now or in this story but just for future reference. Also if your interested here's a comand structure based of my unit's. Officers: Co(Cpt)-Xo(1stLt)-Platoon Leaders( 2dLt's)-Platoons / Enlisted 1Sgt-Platoon Sgt's(SSgt)-Squad Leaders(Sgt)-Team leaders(Cpl) (or in HQ's case Section leaders which can be Sgt's or Cpl's) -E4(SPC) and bellow. Now granted it gets a bit more complex higher up the chain but this is the simplified version of it. And you could also use this to make you're own take on a chain of command but really this was just for my OCD
