All Daring Do wanted was a little time off from saving the world. Was that so much to ask?

Somepony call an astrophysicist, because I didn't ask for a perm.

[Translation] I found this rather awesome on so many levels of awesome that I stuck my finger into an electrical outlet while taking a bath with a toaster to see if I was dreaming.

    "What be it lads!?"

    "Featured bar sir! Dead ahead!"

Wow, that image is really old. I should probably update it....

Some kind of parallel pulp universe? I like it. I like it very much. I hope you build on this idea.

How do I explain it. You captured Daring's essence to a tee. That and we could still distinguish our lovable librarian and party animal. I love this! :yay:

You know, I never would have read this story if it hadn't been for the two of us meeting and sharing similar views on that blog post where Knighty announced he was changing the Featured system.

And I'm actually kind of glad that happened, because this was a lovely story.  Someone already mentioned this, but the idea of a pulp universe where all the fictional characters from the show exist is a really neat one, and I could honestly imagine it working something like this.  Daring Do was written spot-on, the humour was very amusing, and the entire story was a pleasure to read.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to work my way through the rest of your published library.

Ah, Pinkie Pie.  You're the same no matter what universe you occupy.

This was very well written, to say the least.  I applaud you.

This was hilarious and amazing, from start to finish. I loved how all of the heroes' personalities were recognizable as belong to their MLP counterparts. I loved Daring's irritated resignation to the Mare Do Wells, as well as her names for them. and the detail about just who wrote Friendship is Magic. My only wish would have been to have seen Mare Do Wells #1 and #4, plus the Mare Do Wells' seamstress, but that's a minor little quibble.

This was a really good, incredibly silly and surprisingly cute story.

I kind of wish we could explore more from this universe, I always loved the idea behind Mare-Do-Well and wished to see a super hero story based on her... Shame I haven't stumbled upon such a thing (I'm not going to say it doesn't exist because it probably does).

plus the Mare Do Wells' seamstress

She is Rareza, the Mesmerizing Mayhem Making Mega Maid from Madrid.

She makes dresses, do the dishes and kicks the flank of whoever dares to soil the Sparkle manor. :U

See, this is why superheroes should just pop a cap in da villains' skulls.  Then you get plenty of time for relaxation!

It gets easier after your first one...  :trixieshiftright:

What's this? An alt. universe fic that it actually good? More than good, this is great. Congratulations, you've single-hoofedly justified the existence of AU.

Is it odd that this and Whip and Wing, both fics with tags I usually dislike, have Daring in them? Anyway, amazing job.

This story is absolutely beautiful, and I love the inception level shenanigans of the Mobius Double Reacharound nature of the in-universe fictional character reading fiction of said fictional universe. Likewise the personalities are spot on, and it is filled with amazing lines. My favorite having to be 'Untie me, so that I may destroy you.'

I look forward to seeing more from you, and would love to see more of this.

This reeked of being one of those meta stories (you know, referencing canon show from another universe).

BUT I DON'T GIVE A FU... :flutterrage: It was great, no question asked. :pinkiehappy:

This was recommended to me by so many ponies whose tastes I trust, yet still I waited before reading it.

What a damn fool I was. You made me enjoy AU. I don't know what demonic pact you've signed, but this fic is absolutely glorious in every respect. This type of exasperation-comedy is right up my alley. Thank you. Thank you for writing this.
