It was nice, but I'm rather unhappy that you included the others in this fic, as I'm not a big fan of their characters (apart from Echo, Echo rocks), and the way he went about his meeting with Griffin seemed to be the best.

Anyway, chapter: You had the traditional OMG I just killed someone! which is nice, because usually writers here don't care when their characters kill (which is ironic for the MLP fandom- love and tolerate bro). A little emotional talk, which was nice, not the traditional waaambulance, but something more in character for the catman who gave the talk.

However Nadine seemed to be an awkward addition as some people won't have read griffin to find her anything more than an irritation.

Deity lady's also a nice touch, do you eat her, or eat her out? and the way she's tied into the past that we shalt not talk about is also a nice touch.

Anyway, fun chapter. I like how you had Somnambula mention the four that were there already. I think killing four cannibals is slightly more impressive than a pack of timber wolves, but who am I to argue with a witch? I do enjoy the psychological break down of killing. Gives your character a nice set up for a good conscience. Nice inclusion of the Vren tribe as well.

I was actually trying to stay close to the source material with that. While researching Griffin the Griffin for anything I could find on the cat people, I found a line saying they used berries to give potions scent so they could tell them apart since they were colorblind. This meant they couldn't see red (health potions) or blue (mana potions) so I just assumed they were completely colorblind instead of partial like most cats.

Are the swords supposed to be made out of Stygian Iron? that seems like the obvious conclusion as they seem to resemble it. Do you have an actual name for the weapons? I'm kind of guessing one here and didn't know if you'd already got one planned out (of course, if they're legendary weapons it only makes since for them to be known by multiple names)
