725056 The author asked to change it to this pic, and it may be a bit more "alluring" but it certainly isn't cloppy. If there are a lot of readers that feel the same, I may change it back, but for now I like the new one as well, so it'll stay unless there's a great desire for it to change back.
Hello to all you new fans! Chapter 8 is formatted but still needs to be checked over for formatting errors before it's published. I'l be able to do that once I get back later tonight, so expect the next chapter in about 6-7 hours.
Finally, I've been waiting for this and it's as good as i expected. Can't wait for the next one. And as for the new picture, I like much better then the old one.
I love this story. Period. The worldbuilding and exploration of Equestrian society as it applies to romance is fascinating. Every time the author gently reminds us this unlikely couple truly love each other I can't stop the dopey grin from dominating my face, and man, do they ever get frisky. Going to pastebin for chapter 8 right now, I can't wait!
Oh! Whaddaya know! Chapter 8 is brilliant too! Don't worry, Dash, I find monkeys as creepy as you do horses.
Quite remarkable. I'm not a clopfic aficionado by any means, but I am quite turned on by worldbuilding and xenosociology. So this is a surprisingly awesome story for me. I've always liked fanfics that throw in little reminders that ponies are not exactly human in form and thought and this one's got them in spades. Plus we get to see Twilight nerding it up on a date.
The thing that's provoking the most thought right now is the non-Fisherian sex ratio of ponies. In real-world wild horse populations the adult sex ratio tilts toward females only because of differential survival rates of the young, they're born in roughly equal proportion and lots of males don't make it to adulthood. That obviously wouldn't be the case in an advanced communal culture like Equestria. I figure the most like explanation is "Magic."
I love this espically the way the writers brought the fact that equestria is reversed in the way of gender. Also this explains why many Bronies can compare themselves to characters within the show. Tho I don't see many pega sistas comparing themselves to Big Mac. ~Belove
@DustTraveller - "Actually, now that I've had time to think about it, this societal setup says some interesting things about Princess Celestia and her primarily male guard of well armored muscular male ponies. Well... it's good to be the princess, I suppose."
You just may have stumbled onto something there, DustTraveller. If we take this idea of why Princess Celestia has so many stallion guards to it's FiMfiction logical conclusion I can only surmise that it's for the purpose of controlling a rather large genetic pool. Think about it. How else does one influence society and genetic makeup of a spieces without using direct physical force? Answer: by controlling a large segment of available males of breeding age.
@FaceDeer - "I figure the most like explanation is "Magic."
Either that or it's just Celestia guiding her little ponies society down through the ages via selective breeding techniques. Now of course showcanon and headcannon show that there are some stallions out and about making a life for themselves so her breeding program isn't about total control but of careful selective influencing of the Equestrian gene pool. Consider: Canterlot is the capitol of Equestria. As the capitol of a nation, ponies from all over the nation will pass through it for various reasons. How better to influence the genetic makeup of said nation than to have on hand (or hoof as this case maybe) a large assembly of available stallions of breeding age who are also sworn to obey your every whim? "What we have here, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, is the largest and oldest brothel of Equestria that has been in continous operation for literaly thousands of years!" Should we start addressing Princess Celestia as Madam Celestia? Not unless you're there for, ahem, pertinant services. Wink wink nudge nudge say no more, say no More! OMG, this convoluted twisted logic rope has just produced yet another twist. What if.....Twilight and the rest of the main 6 are the most current result of said breeding program started by (Madam)Celestia not long after she was forced to send Luna to the Moon? Annnnnnnd on that note I'm gonna stop and get some sleep before anything else decides to pop out and do things with my brain. - "I must not derp. Derp is the hoof-killer. Derp is the little pony that brings total obliteration. I will face my derp. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its magic friendship. Where the derp has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain". - From Manual of Muad'Derp by the Princess Iruluna
Clop apart, I'm liking the way you're theorizing about the Equestrian society. I mean- this isn't a simple, self-fulfillment, gary-stu clop story like most out there; this is like a study on the Equestrian society and customs, even explaining the history behind said customs, it is really, really good. I hope this fanfic doesn't lose these aspects. And the arguments are kind of hard to dispute... so I'll add them to my headcannon.
And... I have to say, you're making clop sound less "bad". (Not bad per se, it's not that I hate it or anyone who does it, on the contrary; I incentive people to keep on doing whatever it is that makes them happy, be it clop, gore or both... But I'm not a clop person myself)
i actually held off on eating dinner so i could read this.
this is also the only story i have ever felt the urge to read more than once and i constantly think about the various implications of this culture, the small changes between this fictional culture and real human ones.
i love this and if i could fav twice, i would in a second. a million kudos to the author and may he write for a thousand years.
I'm kind of curious when the human is going to draw the line on a particular issue. He seems to be going along with almost everything which is understandable, but I'm a little curious what will happen if he says no to something.
Okay, I don't' usually' read clop, and if this had been labeled as such, I wouldn't have started it. Kinda glad you didn't label it though The world building and thought of a completely reversed gender-dynamic is fun to be sure, and it's always nice to see the naughty presented in a tasteful fashion.
I wish more were like this. It's an absolute joy to read. I couldn't find any obvious errors, whoever is writing this is putting a lot of effort into it. I'm enjoying the story and anticipating the next chapter. Seriously good work.
This isn't just xenophilia. It's a very well thought-out xenological field study. I'm honestly enjoying the contrasts between human and pony culture more than the clop. Not to say I'm not enjoying that, but still.
Weird, Twilight didn't have any friends what so ever, but she was part of a herd. I guess she was just trying to fit in or something? Just seems a little weird.
Everything else was awesome, as par for the course. Lero and Rainbow turning wrestling into something more was a cute idea.
I looked up pegasi, and found where the name Bellerophon came from. Clever mare. But I don't know where you got the idea of pegasi eating fish from. Is it in reference to the fish called pegasus?
727801 I actually somewhat touched on this in my own story, basically explaining that the reason there weren't many muscular males in Ponyville (for example) was because the strongest ones joined Princess Celestia's royal guard or the military, leaving alot of skinny stallions and mares in Ponyville
Threesomes? Atleast it's not full on gay.... fuaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrk... a small kiss from a friend.... that's nice. Hugs from Rainbow while she stands up? Fuark. Licks his mouth for a taste of the sauce? Kinky but....EWWWWWWW! Ponies that eat fish.... fucking hippopotamus Ponies.
OH my GOD WHY DIDNT I SEe THIS!! Movement, by level of difficulty, is water, ground, air. Air being the hardest. It makes so much sense that pegasi cannot achieve flight with a purely vegetarian diet. This is why every bird is an omnivore. All species of birds, except maybe a few, all eat at the very least insects. This is ingenious.
My compliments to the author. Please, have my moustache.
"She started carefully stroking his erect member with the soft base of her hoof, being very careful not to touch him with the hard part that supported her weight when she stood. She was being especially careful, since it had been a while since she’d trimmed her hooves and she’d spent a lot of time on the ground lately, so there were a lot of chips and nicks in the hard hoof surface. Horseshoes would have helped avoid that, but Rainbow had always hated the things and never wore them." Shared anatomy with horses, insta-boner sink.
727622 The reason for that here, is a way to explain the ratio between males and females in the show. Although, one hypothesis is that most males could have sworn a life-oath to serving in Celestia's royal guard.
1335781 Yeah. i was kinda wondering about that too. But, honestly, it's not the only questionable thing in this story. it does seem to make the least sense though.
Here's the next chapter in our continuing story, hope you all enjoy it as much as I did
The next chapter will be up soon as well (once I get it formatted) so be ready for more.
OH YEAH, next chapter is finally up, and the cover picture is also so much better then the first one where rainbows nose is far too big
Favorites for the description alone.

Great chapter it was worth waiting for it xD.
Take all of my likes, ALL OF THEM!
Ah... The classic "She's a pony, I'm a human" plot.
Wow, Xenophilia has made it to the Featured Box!

Still amazing, the cultural bits are well thought out and add to the pacing of the story.
THIS IS A CLOPFIC WHY DO I LIKE IT SO MUCH dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Octavia_O_O.png

First time to comment at FiM fiction, and to my by far favorite story.
This is awesome!

Oh, you better...
weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/full-of-win.jpg
The only disappointing part of this story is that I have no more chapters to read for the time being.
728694 Chapter VIII is here. http://pastebin.com/errzE78r Go there, go there now.
I actually cannot count the number of times that I've re-read this fic.
I love the society that the author has created and depth that they've added to the pony society.
I need more.
I like this story clop and all.
And I must say... Dash has one hell of a nice ass in that new cover pic.
If Twi or other ponies start joining in will Dash still be the main focus throughout this story? Just kinda wanted to know...
love it.

As for THIS story...this is great
726947 What was the other picture?
Threesomes? Atleast it's not full on gay.... fuaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrk... a small kiss from a friend.... that's nice.
Hugs from Rainbow while she stands up? Fuark.
Licks his mouth for a taste of the sauce? Kinky but....EWWWWWWW!
Ponies that eat fish.... fucking hippopotamus Ponies.
I FINALLY FINISHED THE CHAPTER, FUAAAAARRRKKK, OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!
OH my GOD WHY DIDNT I SEe THIS!!

Especially since she’d just won the game
she'd just won the game
"won the game"
IMPOSSIBRU!
Every time I read that little bit where Lero calls Rainbow the sage, I can't but laugh. It's such an in character moment for her. it's perfect.
Is this man the sex god d:
"She started carefully stroking his erect member with the soft base of her hoof, being very careful not to touch him with the hard part that supported her weight when she stood. She was being especially careful, since it had been a while since she’d trimmed her hooves and she’d spent a lot of time on the ground lately, so there were a lot of chips and nicks in the hard hoof surface. Like most pegasi, she liked fish, but shrimp just grossed her out. They looked like huge bugs.
WTF IS THIS IMPLYING PEGASI ARE OMNIVORES?

Yeah. i was kinda wondering about that too. But, honestly, it's not the only questionable thing in this story. it does seem to make the least sense though.
