A direct sequel? Probably not. I wanted to keep the ending open to the reader's imagination, and I don't know if I want to spoil that. However, I do have at least one more Scootaloo/Rainbow story that I want to write, which will likely reference events from this story, and TWF as well.

I totally loved this story. just like your other scootaloo story. keep up the great work!

The end is a bit abrupt but you already said that's on purpose. Well, it's a bit disappointing that you don't gonna write a sequel but as long there is coming another Sco/Dash story everything will be fine :3 (every mistake you find belongs to me!)

This was exquisite. The dynamics you established between Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, as well as between Rainbow Dash and her mother, were believable and heart-wrenching. I was especially moved by the gravesite scene and mother-daughter argument scene.

I was a bit put off by the sudden ending at first, but it didn't take long for me to realize what you were going for. You want your readers to continue the story in their heads, and imagine their own ending, so to speak. This is a tricky technique to pull off, but I think you picked a good spot to end the story for this.

All in all, a wonderful short story with great characterizations and  a moving message. Well done, my friend. Well done. C:

you should continue with a part two. this was so well written and I cant believe how into it I got for it being only a one parter. I came from a well off family and was expected to complete college and the whole shindig. instead I went to fight in Afghanistan because that's just who I am. im a fighter, I love being hot, cold, dirty, sore, hunting and being hunted. My mom doesn't understand it and we don't talk like we used to but she is still mom.

I would love to see this continued into an epic feels and scootalove fic.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, I'm not planning on writing a direct sequel to this particular story. I wanted to leave the ending as open as possible and I feel that expanding beyond this would take away from that.

That said, I AM working on another Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash story which essentially take place in this same timeline. However, it got put on hold due to school and my working on other projects. One day, I'll get around to actually finishing it.
