I am liking this story more and more.
First of all, the chapters are finally reaching over one thousand words! Secondly, I like what you are doing with the dialogue manipulation. You can tell that Pinkamena always wants to say something, but May is way too caught up in the current event and immediately assumes the worst possible scenario.
And lastly, although I can not tell for sure if it is intentional or not, you seem to be good at throwing out these hints (and occasional red herrings) out to keep the interest. I am interested to see how this one plays out, as I actually can not tell what just happened...
All in all, nice work. ^^
