Applejack would profess herself to be something of a genius when it comes to produce. She can spot what kind of tactics an unfamiliar vegetable will use to grow before she even plants it in the ground, and taste her way through an entire collection of wine and transmogrified fruit with ease.
But there’s a problem. Applejack thinks she has seen all she needs to see. The concept of learning about new ways of farming and new kinds of crops used to excite her, but now she has reached a limit. She knows about every fruit and vegetable relevant to her work, but no further. What good is knowing how to farm something she knows doesn’t grow in Equestria?
With a bit of encouragement and a small kick up the backside for good luck, Discord will show her.

Its entertaining, I'm just curious as to why aj had such a reaction to bananas. Did discord put poison in them or something?
6162973 Nope! The only lie Discord told in that first scene was how much money he had. Applejack literally just has a super-low resistance to their strange effects - and as an explanation for my choice of fruit, not all horses like bananas, but from what I've seen the ones who do, love them. I took that and combined it with the fact that eating too many apples is intoxicating for horses, and thought "What about other fruit? Do they have similar effects?". So bananas are like pony drugs now.

A decent story by far. I don't have too much to about this chapter. All I'll say is that Applejack is missing her accent. She talks like a normal character throughout, and will occasionally show sign of her accent. If you want help improving it, read scripts from the show.

I'm glad to hear it! This is a super old story, but the event at the smithing convention which Pinkie mentioned is something that I'll be working my way back to with each story I post. I'm sorry to say that, as a story, Window Shopping has been abandoned, but my ideas for the characters haven't. Moondust is the one to read for the start of this timeline if you want to :)
