Personally I would have done a more subtle appearance of other intelligences:
Changelings appearing smarter, remembering what they did! Then making references to each other about things Chrysalis has no knowledge of. Performing their tasks in ways are are completely unexpected. Creating a recreation room with games that don't originate from anywhere in Equestria. Complaining about the lack of running water and TV, and eventually culminating when Chrysalis asks them to identify themselves, they don't identify as Changelings at all. But still having no self-reflection of what they are.

Your vision is more direct and sudden, I have high hopes it works out well. I can only imagine the parodies this will go through.
I'm reminded of MogWorld that had a necromancer raise an army of the dead, only to realize that they had free will, and he had to convince them to join him in raping and pillaging for various benefits and concessions, like holding traveling performers hostage to preform plays to keep them entertained when off duty.
If Chrysalis suddenly has to act like a leader who has to convince others to follow her...

I love the idea, but I don't think I'm quite ready to do that gradually gaining intelligence thing justice. It's pretty hard to make reading about non-characters fun, and the changelings would be non-characters until they gained their sapience. In addition there'd also be the problem of deciding how fast the intelligence would show up and handling the gradual change.
I might try that idea out later, and I'd definitely be up for reading a story about it, but for now I'll try to keep things simple.
And now I have even more reading to catch up on.
Well, if I want this story to be good, then I gotta be dedicated. And nothing says dedication like studying everything that's even remotely related to your craft!

Sorry, I did do research on the names I picked, and I noticed that middle names might've been somewhat rare, but I didn't notice anything about the Sharma name.
My random number generator did pick northern India though, and Sharma is a bit more popular there. (Those areas have a lot less poverty, but my RNG picked an amazingly low number for Mitul's wealth. It was somewhere around the bottom 1% of all income earners.)
I'll try to keep things realistic, but sometimes my research fails. Feel free to tell me anything you think I may need to know though. (Especially about the books there.)

Well, the whole thing hasn't been outlined. I get bored if I know what's going to happen all the time. I do have a few ideas, and depending on how things go with the characters, the story could go in several different directions... and a good amount of the characters are decided by a random number generator.
In other words, I have no idea where this is heading! All I know is that wherever we're going, we're going there without brakes!
If she is powered up by love again, couldn´t she just fight that Manticor?, but i don´t mind, it is actually funny that probably every Changeling was replaced. Not sure what you are planning with this kind of fanfiction, and if it is going to be a big story or just a few chapters, but i like it.
