He recognises the chakra colour, and pre-shippuden Naruto never saw the advanced stage of the Cloak of the Nine-Tails, only when it looks like boiling liquid.
At its earliest, it could be during his absence, after he attacked Jiraya when in the four-tail stage.
That would be THE kyuubi.
Kyuubi is a word, not a name, for Nine-tailed fox. Okami has a Kyuubi
Overall a solid enough chapter. Its an interesting idea that I was going to give a try sometime soon and it's actually pretty interesting, given that Naruto is effectively covered in the Nine Tails chakra, which as we saw in Shippuden, was lethal just to touch and now he's in a world full of creatures that have no idea what they are in store for.
I'm curious to see how Naruto interacts with the residents of Equestria in his current condition, as I'm seriously doubting that it will be easy and a fair amount of fighting I imagine will take place.
Hope to see more and can't wait to see what direction you take this story.

6028512 actually, Kyuubi literally means "Nine tails", it does not refer to foxes. "Kyuubi no Youko", which is Kurama's full title, does however translate to "Nine-Tailed Spirit-Fox".

Yeah I agree, I'm doubting in following this, because you don't have a single fic finnished, or in a kind of steady updating pase, not counting the oneshots, I was expecting more updates about your story about L, and you just wrote others fics, leaving them just started, I'll follow when you get 25,000 words at least.
6029970 Because so many "X in Equestria" stories feature X turning into some other creature, it's possible that his body is now better adapted to the chakra--or he is actually completely composed of the Kyuubi's chakra now, or perhaps he has the form of a fox which as a better and safer resonance with the chakra of the Kyuubi.
That might also become a plot point--he's burning through all the cellular regeneration his body can handle, and needs to find regular sources of life energy (or one really big one) to counteract it.
Will we be seeing this at some point in the story?
