The only thing I can think of is that Angel attacked the chimera, but I can't imagine him doing o or even being able to cause that much damage to a chimera.
I'm just curious as to why Fluttershy would feel the need to leave her home in Ponyville and get a new start somewhere else.
Surely she'd know that her friends would be worried about her?
What gives here?

Angel: Chimera glands aren't difficult to harvest, you just have to reach in and pluck them out. I'd explain it to you more, but Fluttershy just lost her coat which means I need to go 'find' her another one... that chimera had some nice fur, don't you think?

Angel: The only thing I've seen in this swamp with good fur is that chimera. Of I was allowed to kill things the situation would be easy; but the idiot Fluttershy made me swear never to kill anything unless it was absolutely necessary.
I've never asked her to define exactly what she means by "kill" because every time I've asked her to clarify her laws I have less and less options available; but I interpret "killing" as the creature dying in my presence as an immediate result of my actions.
If my actions cause the chimera to have a high probability of dying from blood loss and infection after I leave... That's simply endangerment.
Taking the fire glands were easy. Taking the fur without "killing" the chimera will be far more difficult.

Fluttershy is alive and well.
She tore her travelling cloak to make bandages for the chimera and in a few day it will be found, covered in blood and chimera hairs, on the edge of the swamp. For now, Fluttershy has chosen to begin a journey with no clear destination in mind at the beginning of winter and needs a new cloak or will suffer from the cold, which Angel cannot allow.
In earlier comments I referred to her cloak as a coat which was my mistake. Apologies.
