Poor snails. Good story, short, concise to the point I like that shit. Not a lot of writers can tell the tale in less than 1,000 words and have flawless execution, you did it in less than 600, good shit.

Poor Snails. D: He's too dumb to be sad even.
I admire its conciseness, but I didn't have enough time to get into the storyline to really experience any sort of catharsis or reaction to the story beyond a "huh." It's a subject that's very easy to relate to, this topic of unrequited love, but the treatment seems a touch shallow here, in my opinion.
Still, in terms of how many words you devoted to this, what it accomplishes is impressive.
Very sweet but I agree with Vimbert it felt too short to really have much impact. It was still great fun to read.
