I'm going to hell. I might as well take the express.

If you're headed to Pony Hell, then I guess I'm along for the ride.

this reminds me of some old dutch book about a time machine XD

Sending the CMC on an actual Crusade... I've been mulling over a similar idea for a story, but dang it looks like you beat me to the punch; well at least mine is different enough, should I choose to write it. As for your story, right now it is too early to form a judgement, but I like how their transportation to Earth does not, for once, involve a Twilight spell gone wrong. I'll be keeping my eye on this to see what sort of havoc the little blank flanks will wreak on the Holy Land.

THOU SHALT NOT USE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN

You know what this calls for? Monty Python references!

592611 at least they didn't fall in Camelot, tis a silly place.

Interesting. Tracking.

Crusaders were also French?

This is so going to interfere with my learning right now.

Most of the crusaders that stayed behind spoke Old French, or Latin.

so i noticed that its rated "Everyone" but yet i remember that the Crusades were a bit......Gory and pillagy...and probably even rapey.:twilightoops:

Beyond the inevitable blasphemy that will occur during this fic, I've basically promised myself that I will avoid any of the actual grimdark business associated with holy wars.

soooo the cutie mark crusader wont die?

then you get all of my friendchips:rainbowkiss:

oop

Never been a real big fan of crossover fics, particularly not human ones, but this is a really interesting concept.I probably won't read on, but I give it a seven out of ten.
The biggest problem I saw with the fiction is one that i believe is realy very, very common. The lack of adjectives. It's not a glaring problem, but I'm a little nitpicky about it. I loved how you portrayed the CMC at any rate, very much like the actual show with the personalities and mode of speech. Flim and Flam were Okay on that front, but I believe you have the ability to do better.
Good luck with future works.

Wait, why is Baldwin VIII using Christian dates?

Marks 3:29

And so did the king consulted Her Radiance on the creation of a new calender. And in Her holy wisdom, she said 'nah' because really, who wants to go through the effort of making a new calender? Fricketh that waste.

You should really expand on this i see potential

Not really sure where I'd go with this. I intended it as a stupid one-off gimmick and that's more or less how it turned out.

4349450 Bah humbug! just come up with things as you go

4349450 Well, when I read it I thought Applejack left Flim and Flam behind. I wonder how two excellent con-ponies would get by at ground zero of a new religion.... I could totally see another chapter where cardinals Flim and Flam are busy selling Celestia's indulgences.

4349450 I'd love to see a sequel where humans from the future come to equestria and the cutie mark crusaders learn that they accidentally created a new religion, and how they react.

Fun fact: This fic was written roughly around the time CK2 was relatively new, and I had just had a Kingdom of Jerusalem game crash and burn with about every country around me declaring a jihad. Cue ragequit.

So I channeled my frustrations and wrote this.

as for my avatar being the KOJ flag: i just think it looks cool

Most amusing ;-) The preamble could've been shorter, but the disasters and future scenario were hilarious.

Very well done! This is hilarious! :rainbowlaugh:

The Great Prophet Scoot of Loo did then see the heathen idol of the Western Wall, and with holy might did smote it, sending down much rubble... Poultry 5:13

I love this. No matter what the actual teachings of a religion are, people will still find a way to turn it onto an excuse for conquest and murder.
