Just your average Brony who happened upon an idea that might actually turn out to be clever enough for guys to love.

Ponies and buttons, and the lives three of them have lived, never lived, and do live. Now what do you get when you mix them together? For fans of all generations of ponies.

I recently watched 'The World's Biggest Tea Party', the last piece of G3 media I'd hadn't seen. It was a live stage show, and to be honest, better than the MLP Live done for G4 believe it or not! Seeing all the little kids in the audience enjoying the show was great, and a reminder of who these ponies are for. And made me more interested in Pinkie Pie and Minty with what (for me) was their last exchange in canon.

But included was a pony named Sew-and-So, and I thought I had a perfect connection, except . . . what NEW story could I possibly tell here? Thankfully the answer finally came to me. Sit back and enjoy.

Trope page: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php… (SERIOUSLY need to be kept up to date, every little bit helps!). . . . It makes me happy.

PLEASE check out the ton of recursive fanfics of this fanfiction series. A lot of heart went into them! They also answer a lot of unaswered questions. mlp-pony-pov-series.deviantart… For heaven sake they rock! Kendell2 and Oracle Mask and Richforce and Ardashir and Jawmax and Persona22 and Dragon of Twilight and ItsFromPeople and all the rest!!! Please?

This story has two glaring flaws.

1) No, we don't practice having more than one mate, we're not wild ponies. The number don't add up? Who was whose father? I . . . I can't really seem to remember, sorry. I don't know why that is. It just kinda gives me a headache.

It was establish in a early comic that they use a mirror to help create baby pony. now i realize may have issue with but you could have said the mirror was for couple who were sterile or perhaps want a child of there own even if there single (I doubt that timeline had the process of artificial insemination, so this is as probably as close as they can get. you could have even written that even if there base physically on something does not mean they have the same mind. its all about nature after the mirror process (And yes i realize it does somewhat sound like Jurassic park but imagine that line in a good way.)

and this piece

In Ponyville we all said hi to each other! And I made sure ponies were all nicely dressed. You keep using that word 'nake-kid', I don't what it means.

I mean no offense but is that really needed or necessary? i know you usually portray them as childlike but even a little kid would know that word. and it feels even odder that a seamstress, out of everyone, i think even they would know that, and if the interviewer who i think, why should they care most pony normally don't wear clothing. quite frankly i felt this line was rather jarring and pointless.

other then that it was fine.

The 'naked' line was how it's doubtful that word even EXISTS in a sugary sweet cartoon world like G3. It was meant to show both their innocence, nativity, and the contradictions in their world. It's clear if you're saying this, then I didn't do a good enough job.

And thank you for telling me that you enjoyed the story.

I really like this story. You are the only author I have ever seen write Suri Polomare as anything other than a two-dimensional antagonist, and I appreciate that, as I like to see all ponies fleshed in, even the ones with really annoying San Fernando Valley accents.

What surprises me is that almost no one else is interested in the fact that Suri Polomare came from Ponyville and apparently grew up with Rarity to the point where they were in similar clubs. Presumably back then she wasn't a bad pony (or else socially-perceptive Rarity would not have trusted her at first). She probably still has family back in Ponyville, I've seen Diamond Tiara used as cousin because they look similar, but you have her with "bell" in her name, interesting...

One last thing: Imagine Suri Polomare with a horn and aqua-marine highlights. Remind you of a certain cult leader? I don't know if that should mean anything, but it is certainly an interesting coincidence.

Thank you of the deep comment. And yeah, I seem to be almost the only one to give depth to her personality. And I haven't seen season 5 yet.

TYPO

(unless this was an intentional act)

You accidentally duplicated the "Ever heard of the Twice As Fancy Ponies" paragraph.

Nudity doesn't even mean the same thing for any generation of Ponies as it does to us. Going by pure vanilla canon, they don't consider simply not wearing clothes in public to be particularly noteworthy or objectionable: while the Ponies of My Little Pony Tales and Friendship Is Magic most definitely have sexual attraction and reproduction, they're not that fascinated by the sight of one another's genitalia -- it's obvious that their arousal cues are different from those of Humans. I hypothesize in some of my stories that their sexual arousal is more based on scent than is the case among humans, and I think there's some support in both My Little Pony Tales and Friendship Is Magic that they regard some sorts of clothing as erotically-suggestive (especially if it half-conceals genitals) and flirt visually, tactilely and possibly also olfactorially with their tails. They most definitely find one another visually-appealing, both romantically and in purely aesthetic terms; and Ponies are drawn to the faces, manes, tails and overall shapes of other Ponies.

"Naked" implies vulnerable exposure. The Ponies aren't vulnerably exposed to one another when simply not wearing clothes: apart from the fact that they have natural hairy coats, most Ponies wouldn't dream of attacking one another and hence wouldn't feel afraid of being attacked just because they had no protective clothing. Even though Ponies Aren't Perfect, they are fundamentally less aggressive toward one another than are Humans. They are for the most part neither nasty nor dirty-minded,by our standards (though the G1.5 and G4 Ponies might both seem so by G3 standards). The G4 Ponies are nicer than the G1.5 ones, on the average -- I think this is largely in consequence of Celestia's influence over the last millennium and a half.

Ponies probably do have the concept (and equivalent word) for "naked" in the sense of "exposed and vulnerable." For instance, a Pony not wearing body armor in the middle of a melee might feel that he was "naked" to the weapons of the foe. But here he's worried about being killed or wounded, not being groped or laughed at. Likewise, a Pony in the middle of a blizzard would probably be happier if she were wearing a nice thick hooded cloak and boots, but there the problem is frostbite, not indecency. In other words, their concept of "naked" isn't particularly sexual.

Sorry that's all you got out of the story. :-(

There always seems to be a faint undercurrent of bitter sweet despair in your stories. Another past life one. This one was good.

Thanks.

That's kinda ironic since I actually HATE grim dark.
