Alright, it's taken a while, but the Equestrian Death Battle Tournament fighters have been decided, the matchups made, and the bracket drawn up!
Thanks to all of you who submitted, even if you didn't get in. Here is the list of fighters, the authors who submitted them, and the stories they come from. Note that a couple of characters were submitted by authors who don't actually own the stories they come from; this is because that the characters were created by the authors who submitted them, but for the purposes of being used in other stories. They are still eligible.

The tournament won't commence quite yet, though; we still have the antagonist free-for-all to get through, as well as one more planned battle afterwards. After this, though, the tournament will begin as soon as possible!
Assistant judges, prepare to soon receive messages and get ready to read, make decisions, and possibly decide who wins and who dies. As for everyone else, get ready for a series of battles that will determine which of these thirty-two original is the strongest.

All I cam say is this will be epic. I don't care that much if Joey Subtle loses. I want to read a good fight, that's all.
But say I can say is:

Winterjet's up against a pony who was practically born to kill, (it's her special talent) has armour with three centimetres of titanium fused with tinfoil with magic, resulting in something light as tinfoil but as durable as titanium. Also a DMR with armor piercing bullets that can kill a space marine (what Joey is) in three shots(One if aimed at the head). A rate of fire of two rounds per second, a range of 950 m, a clip size of fifteen and five clips carried around. Also a Assault Rifle with forty armour piercing rounds that can kill a space marine in eight shots (Three if aimed at the head) A rate of fire of eight rounds per second, a range of 500m and five spare clips. Winterjet better have some tricks up his sleeve or he's gonna be gunned down!
Also if I win then I'm up against Quick Fix or Blue Breeze. If it's Blue Breeze then I ay win but I'm not so sure if it's Quick Fix.

all things considered and simply going off of names in my first major bracket Brand Fire and Tundra Stanza seem like my biggest threats but than when i saw the CGotG characters i already knew they would take this. oh well i i dont mind as long as i win a round or two. 1553063 Alrighty, I'll take a look. Worst case scenario it'll provide some interesting facts for the background of your character.
1553076 Anything related to the character that the character's creator declares canon and has actually been stated in a story is considered canon for these battles. In addition, anything you add to the story before the battle comes out is also canon, so long as it doesn't make your character suddenly intensely OP (for example, suddenly giving him the ability to incinerate whatever he glares at).
1553103 Don't worry about that. If a character changes to super OP before a battle, I'll just ignore their change for the sake of safety. Same thing if they suddenly become extremely weak (an accident causing them to lose all their powers, for example).

Plus, even though he's in the first fight, that fight isn't even going to be officially started until I finish the antagonist free-for-all, which should be a week or two. You have plenty of time...just don't make him super OP.
