Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon have been best friends since the beginning of first grade, when DT protected Silver from being bullied and they became friends because of it.
But over the years, Diamond has become a bully too, and Silver was afraid that she'd lose her only friend and become a social pariah if she tried to tell DT to stop. So to help her cover, she joined in on whatever tortures Diamond had planned for the CMC, but she always felt bad about it.
However, ever since they teased Scootaloo about her wings and lost the flag-carrying competition to the crusaders, she's been feeling worse and worse about what she and her friend are doing. Now she's torn; should she just say no and try to put a stop to DT's bullying, but risk losing it all? Or should she just play along and let Diamond set out to ruin the lives of three innocent fillies?

You know, I don't usually have much sympathy for Silver Spoon (and none whatsoever for Diamond Tiara), but this does make me feel a little sorry for them.
...Not much (sorry fillies, Flight to the Finish was you sailing waaaaay past the Moral Event Horizon), but I am curious to see where you're going with this. Considering Diamond told the bully to "go die" earlier, I'm not sure she can actually be salvaged without a lot of work on Silver's part.

I've never seen Silver's cutie mark referring to her cooking skills, and combined with the fact she's hiding it from everypony makes for a truly great (and original) take on Silver's character
Looks like DT might be trying to exclude SS on purpose, to me. Probably trying to 'teach her a lesson' for sticking up for the blank flanks. I suspect SS won't tolerate this kind of shizz for too long, though. I know I wouldn't.

Honestly, the way you seem to be bring Diamond down just to bring Silver up is a real screw-up with this story, and it's cliche with redeemed Silver stories. In fact, it would be more interesting for Diamond's new "friends" to steal Diamond's thunder and put Diamond in Silver's position, causing a reconciliation between the two.
