Also at first I was a little confluttershy'd at the thing where he said "What ever floats your boat." I didn't really get it till later when Applejack said barn door. It kinda seemed unprovoked and unnecessary, but was funny once I got it.
Also, Romance tag?! Can't wait until this aspect comes into play.

I'm typically wary of Human in Equestria stories myself. Most of them devolve into poorly-masked self-inserts with less characterisation than a character from a Stephanie Meyer novel.
That romance part won't appear for a while yet. I'm not entirely sure when, either. That's the joy of writing the story as you think it up.

It's been done before, with Arddun Lleuad. It was quite beautiful.
Interesting. It seems to be a bit of a slice-o-life with a human thrown in. I can't wait to see how the characters will bounce off each other, with Justin and Twilight as the straight man/mare, and everyone else, well, in-character.
Love Twilight's reaction to Celestia's letter. Twilight could probably handle a couple o' hours' preparation if it were anyone else but a princess, especially Celestia, she'd probably consider 24 hours to be short notice.
I cannot fathom why, but the next chapter is taking forever to get done. Might be to do with Fluttershy. I want to pin down her personality, but I don't want to overdo it. I guess she's the kind of character where it's easy to screw up.
If anypony can think of a fitting chapter name, I would much appreciate it.

Chapter was pretty funny and I liked how you wrote off romantic interaction (for now), yes they're just like humans but they look like animals (no offense) and that would take a bit of time to overcome the ingrained reaction to that kind of relationship. Hurry up and write the next chapter, I wanna know what happens!

I'm going with the pegasi not being able to drink as much. They have to be lighter to achieve flight, and I also feel a faster metabolism is required.
Oh, and apple cider (the alcoholic variant) is only ten percent alcohol. Most beers are less, and wines are fifteen at most.
With that "Romance" label, I can't help but feel a scene like this will be in the future.
