Lyra is not one of these ponies.
When Lyra finds herself attached to the clockmaker, Doctor Whooves, she can't seem to find the right things to say or do whenever she's around him. Will Lyra be able to win the affection of one of Ponyville's most sought-after bachelors, or will she continue to end up speechless?

I like it, You can't expect more than that this early into the fic, it's only been one chapter so far. I am gonna give you point's on a the extremely rare hetero Lyra. I've only seen a few ships like that and this is the first that wasn't a HIE fic, so kudos in that regard. As for using Doctor Whooves that is another rarity, but if you look on Deviant Art there is a couple of pics. So I'm gonna track this to see where this goes. This is still a well made chapter of a potentially great fic.
On a side note, I never understood where the whole Lyra and Bon Bon thing came from, but here's this comic:

701443 The whole Lyra/Bon Bon thing comes from the fans mostly; but it does have reasoning. It's because in the show they always appear together and rarely are apart (I think that's it at least).
Anyway, fantastic story. I like this kind of writing style; one extremely detailed and basically gives the whole thought process of the individuals. Faved.

Considering we ship all of the Mane six together, and anybody who seems a little bit close (actually, we'll ship anything if we have the material, crackfics are always fun.) I'm pretty sure the word "friend" in MLP sounds like "lover" to shippers.

If the quality of the first chapter is any indication, this is shaping up to be an excellent story. I have always loved to see the background characters be, well, characterized.
Also, which Doctor are you going to be basing Doctor Whooves off of? Ten? Eleven? Or a combination of both? Either way, I will enjoy this.
This is a pretty nice start. I really like the Bon Bon you've established here, and Lyra is pretty good, as well. They both have solid, recognizable characterizations despite being remarkably more mundane than their usual interpretations. Honestly, it makes me a little worried about The Doctor being introduced in presumably full glory, but I suppose I'll just have to wait and see how you handle things.
