Also, don't forget to add that incredibly long Shield Killer sidequest (or whatever the item's called, anyway). I had to look up a walkthrough just to find that thing (so I got it right before the New Pork City point of no return), while I easily got it in EarthBound just by playing the game normally.

Great story so far, but I expecting you to use the Save Frogs or maybe the Diamond Dogs or Changelings in their place. And will Doctor Whooves will be the time displace Dr. Andonuts? And are some MLP villains will appearance in this story like Sombra, Lord Tirek? And are the Dragons(from Dragon town) and the Deers from the MLP comics will play a role in this story? I can see Trixie being a immortal with a old Alicorn bedridden body hooks up to a mobile hospital bed.

Well, this was certainly a pleasant surprise. I read the first story about a year ago and had forgotten about it until I stumbled upon this story last week. I loved the last Earthbound Journey and this one has me intrigued. The story throws enough curve balls that I can't completely predict what will happen, a good merit for an adaptation like this. I expected Spike to play the role of certain monkey, but it seems that will not be the case. Incidentally, this story and a rereading of An Earthbound Journey finally encouraged me to play Mother 3, so you have my thanks for that. Regardless, I look forward Scootaloo's upcoming expedition. Keep up the good work.

I admit that yes this chapter did make me tear up when I wrote it(something which rarely happens), especially when accompanied by its powerful and amazing soundtrack.

this is the third story that I read on this site that have Spike die in it, those are Silent Ponyville, The Fate of a Magical Mare. Twilight is gonna be very mad at Trixie if she finds out the reason why Trixie is for causing all this pain. Because she did it all out of boredom. I'm looking forward to seeing the party encountering Negative Man they might help him get a positive attitude.

I usually like to wait to read these stories when they are complete. I read part of Earthbound Journey, but never finished it. I will though... eventually. All I ask is one question. You aren't planning on making the Magypsies based on the Mane 6 are you? I swear to you I will read this, but knowing what happens to them in the game makes it a difficult and somewhat painful experience for me as I don't like a lot of character death. You don't have to spoil it, but just give me some closure and eventually I will read this when it completes. I have my eye on this so I will know....
Mother 3 is one of the few games to actually make me a crying mess. It didn't kill me and my feels till the final final boss. I was dry eyed till then... although I HATED HATED HATED Fassad.... The other game to make me a crying mess was Sonic Battle. Particularly what happened to Emeril.
So, if you can answer some closure and either ease my mind or make it worse, I will appreciate if you can inform what your plans for Magyspies are..... I will still read it but I will have to delay till I am in the mood for feels.

What'd you think of this story's version of the mecha drago fight. After that fight in the game, was one of the other moments that crushed my heart.
Shigesato Itoi was brilliant, with 16-bit graphics, simple sprites, and a very powerful soundtrack he accomplished so much with this game.

The fight was very well-done. I like the touch about it being Spike: that really adds to the scene, and shows you that the heartbreak and pain is only just beginning.
Also, you are evil for that twist. I wanted Spike to take Boney's role, not die!!!
But it does add to Trixie's malevolence: she's willing to do that to an innocent baby dragon.
Itoi did indeed create a masterpiece. And we've all been playing it since.
