I don't know anything about the video game, but I hope it wasn't as boring as this. The story isn't bad, it's just not an interesting first chapter. If you can't get readers to click the next button, the story won't be very successful.
I don't criticize lightly, and I'll try to offer some constructive feedback. I suggest you get rid of the bold text. You wrote 4800 words, of which only the last two dozen paragraphs are actual story. A huge info-dump at the begining is a good way make readers lose interest. Give us little bits at a time. Also, don't pile anything on needlessly. If it doesn't directly affect the rest of the story, it doesn't belong.
Your spelling and punctuation are pretty good. That doesn't need to change.
It's just Call of Duty: Black Ops ponified! Though i like the fact that your a good writer (atleast this is my first look at this story), it's just not really good that you pretty much copied the story
I don't really play video games but i know what black ops is. This story lacks creativity but is was well written.
Hello everyone from FIMFiction. I'd would like say that i'm a bit new here and enjoying reading people's fan fictons. But that's the problem, i dont really know how to actually post a fan fiction.

And so begins the COD Fanboys .VS. People who play any other game! I'm on the latter team. This is well written, but lacks creativity so much, that it's just a copy of COD:BOps with ponies.
You could do so much better than this. If you're going to pony-ize a game, at least make it a good game. COD is getting so old. Pony-izing something isn't very interesting to begin with, as it's essentially the same storyline, but with ponies. If someone pony-ized Halo, it would still be Halo, but with a pony.
It's hard to explain, but as an extremely avid reader, in my mind, adding a horn, and making the main character walk on all fours, is just cheap. Again, from reading this first chapter, you seem like a great writer, but you've wasted your potential on a boring, overused story, that we already know from playing the game.
If you're going to crossover, you gotta do it right. And just pony-izing Black ops, is not right. That's not to say you can't do a Black Ops crossover, you can. (Although a lot of people will hate it for it being a COD crossover, which combines two heavily overused entities. HiE, and COD.)
Overall, well written, but VERY overused and dull idea.
Call of Duty fics don't work out. Lets think for a moment what happens in CoD.

So many people are right (Oh, by the way, GreyHeart, Mike Michaelides, DJ_Pon_E, calm your ovaries, and stop with the fighting).
You don't ponify things like this, CoD is an overused and abused game in fandoms, and people need to let it go. I, personally, prefer games like Metroid Prime and Minecraft over Call of Duty: Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3, or any of those games. Problem?
However, you need to write by implementing a character into a story, not ponifying a game like that. Like, what if a character, persay, Mason or Reznov (If that's not how you spell it, I could give two shits) get to Equestria somehow.

I kinda liked the parallels between the Pony universe and actual WW2/Cold War events and this is well written. But it copies way to much from the actual game... so far. Maybe the story becomes better and more original like many writers on this site.
Some stories that copy the videogames to the teeth usually ponify the beginning of the game very closely but then makes a tremendous plot twist, making the story more interesting and original (especially Fallout fanfics)
I do think some of the critiques are... a bit excessive
The story and originality is meh (haven't read much of these COD fanfics), but it's well written and it's still open to having a dramatic unexpected plot twists that differs from the game

548654 Yeah, but this is just a full out copy of COD just with ponies. There's a difference between taking creative liberties in a story, and a copy. That being said, and I'm just throwing this out there, I think the new COD game looks better than MW3 becuase it doesn't look like a COD game. Why it's called Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is beyond me. The new COD is almost like a fan-fic. There's a new enviroment, and new enemies, and new plot, but with old characters. Woah, I'm getting off topic. I can respect a ponyfication of a game and making a semi-original plot, but not ponyfication of used plot, characters, enviroments, and the likes.
