You're the most basic of jokes.

They told us to not be sad, and to let the adults cry, and to go have cookies in the other room, because everything would be alright in the end.

Brilliant, once again. That's twice in one week you've left me staring at a blank comment box for more than a quarter of an hour not knowing what to feel in the wake of such devastating sadness. Prose can't do your story justice. The best I can do is a story - perhaps a metaphor.

Your story made me remember - and feel once again - the awful Sunday morning when I was alone in a minimally-decorated room. That was the morning I realized my childhood had just been killed and that I had fallen over the edge of the cliff into adulthood.

I hope you have catharsis tonight, so you might enjoy a very Merry Christmas tomorrow.

I... prefer darker stories.

This was a wonderful one. I'm going to do something for this story... probably when the holidays are over, but maybe I'll be able to convince my roommates to stay quiet for an evening.

Beautifully written, and exactly what I look for in a story. I am glad I decided on it.

5422137 I know I responded to you in a PM, but again, no! No crying for my sake! Then I'll start crying, and you'll keep crying, and it'll be an emotional wreck. Though, to be fair, I have started taking emotional wrecks as compliments. Fanfiction will bring about the End Times, I'm sure. :pinkiecrazy: Thanks as always for commenting!

5422247 So you're quoting me modifying a quote from a TV show that is most certainly quoting an older phrase. Quote-ception? :rainbowhuh: Alrighty then! :pinkiehappy:

5423517 Me too, honestly. I highly respect comedic writers, because their job is nowhere near as easy as one might think, but I also think that the power of catharsis by means of crying your eyeballs out is criminally underrated. And also, don't go thinking I don't what that paragraph means. :raritywink: If this were to happen (no pressure), I'd be very glad I don't have roommates to hear my fangirl screams. Thanks for liking the story!

Odd as it sounds, I don't think it IS an older quote. I think it originated exactly where we both know it from. At least, as far as my searches indicate.

5425587 Really? *one Google search later* Oh yes, it looks like you're correct. I probably thought it was an old saying because Madame Kovarian said it was in the episode. :facehoof: This is the last time I take my knowledge from a show that has Queen Nefertiti and a big game hunter from 1902 encounter dinosaurs on a spaceship.

This... this...

This is beautiful. This is marvelous. This is a shining example of what every good fanfiction should aim for. This is perfection.

I think I just died a little inside, and that is a magnificent thing.

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Sorry, I thought a bit of Asylum of the Dales would be fitting. This was a very nicely done look at both insanity and depression.

That said, this story deserves more views!

Very well written sad story.

Unlike much other sad stories, wich use just sad buzz-texts for the sake of sadness, this tale uses the feeling to tell a tale.

5462048 Oh gosh... :twilightblush: Thank you, thank you very much!

5462189 Wow, thanks, trying to drag me into depression too, are ya?
I AM NOT A DALEK; I AM HUUUUMAN!
Steven Moffat gives me sadness beyond all other writers. You do NOT get to skip out of the Dalek ship and LEAVE SOUFFLE GIRL AS A DALEK! Of course, she's the impossible girl, but at the time I watched it, I was heartbroken. :fluttercry: Anyway, thank you for liking the story!

5462584 Thank you very much! This was a very personal fic for me, and I found myself crying a few times while writing it. So yes, I'd like to think this story was a little more than me trying to hit readers with "da feelz." Glad you liked it!

Honestly I have no real idea what to say about this story. I finifhrd reading it several hours ago and still have no words for this little fix.

That rarely happens to me. Ialwaye have something to say. So congrats on being he lucky few that leaves me with nothing to say beside the fact I have nothing to say.
