I was gonna do a sequel story for our new villain, but then I decided to just mark this one as not complete and carry on. Sooner or later I'll bring in some other villains, too. I think I'll have to do something different, Luna probably doesn't want to have some kind of fan club forming on there on the moon. Plus, not every antagonist deserves that kind of abuse.

Also: Celestia's not even there and she's trolling King Sombra. She's good.

Yeah, the next chapter, and probably most of any other chapters, will not involve banishment to the moon. The moon might happen to be in the sky at some point, but I wouldn't count on anypony else being banished there.

We might visit Som-Som and Chrys to see how they're getting along in a much later chapter, though.

And there you lost me. Your Luna is pretty badly OOC and is basically a psychotic bitch who enjoys inflicting pain and humiliation on others while excusing her own past as  "possession." Add to that the extension of the very tired moon banishment. Really?

Quite frankly I think this did better as a one shot because then it didn't over stay it's welcome. Plus quite frankly neither of these characters really warrant the abuse. Hell, Chrysalis had a much better reason for what she did than NMM, who was more petulant than anything.

So, out of curiousity, what happened to the rest of the Changelings? They've gotta be somewhere, since as was just stated, a spell powered by love and joy isn't going to kill anything, and from the way they acted in the episode(large group of them all with different facial expressions, that one that rolled its eyes at Pinkie Pie and humored her), I'm disinclined to believe that they're non-sentient.

So what's happened to them now?

Im pretty sure that because im very tired that i really didnt find it funny. I know it is (the castle bit is pretty clever), i just dont feel it.

The problem is that i immediately saw the consequences of her being there: the queen isnt an immortal/invincible alicorn.. so she'll die of starvation or go mad from the loneliness. So instead of laughing i was just wondering why would Luna, of all ponies, would do something cruel like that.

Upvote anyway. It was a nice read.

Think I liked this better as a one-shot.  We had more explanation of why Luna wasn't involved in the first episode of Season 3.  Season 2 your explanation could almost fit.  This? Not so much.  Still some enjoyable moments and thanks very much for sharing!

So...we'll be seeing legions of part-rock, part-insect shapeshifting/mindcontrolled minions next?

What happened to the rest of the changelings? Good question! Since none of them were there, I would think they don't know that Chrysalis went and got exiled, so I'm sure there's a large number of them out looking for her. As for the rest, well, I'd assume if there was a queen, that means there's a royal family, (I suppose this depends on just how insectoid they are beyond appearances) so it's likely they have a new monarch, who may or may not be particularly interested in Chrysalis's fate.

Sombra and Chrysalis as lovers? I genuinely hadn't considered their relationship moving past putting up with each other. Chrys can, of course, imitate someone Sombra loves, but if we have two Sombras running around the moon it just gets confusing.

I suppose Luna's maltreatment of Sombra seems a bit sinister, but look at things from her point of view. This is the guy who made an entire kingdom populated by tens of thousands of ponies vanish into thin air because Celestia and Luna didn't want him to use said ponies as slaves. I sort of figured that neither princess would be particularly happy with him.

All of that said, judging by the comments, a bit of revision to chapter 2 is in order. At least an explanation of why Luna put Sombra back together instead of just leaving him as hundreds of somehow-living chunks of crystal lying around.

Another good, if unexpected chapter. Maybe I came in after the revisions, but Luna didn't seem too bad to me. Plus, the idea of the moon colony is fun.

Troll Luna scares Non-Troll Luna. I think she's just gonna leave Discord alone, which leaves me on the lookout for villains bad enough to warrant her personal attention. I went and made it all serious at the end of chapter 2, I got a bad habit of doing that. Maybe I should add another tag?
