This story is a sequel to The Emerald Dragon

Spike is a dragon who has seen many things. He has fought countless evils on Equestria and is one of the nations greatest defenders. He is a bringer of light. He is a Green Lantern.

But his abilities will be put to the test. Something out in the black cosmos is killing off Green Lanterns and he must find out who...or what. And despite having one of the strongest wills in the Corp...the universe is full of foes that even an unbreakable will cannot overcome.

Sequel to the Emerald Dragon, so I would recommend reading that one first. All characters are my interpretations of them, but their loosely based on GLtAS.

AH SHIT. THAT AIN'T GOOD.

Eeeeeeeeeee a sequel to my favorite story yay:yay:

6226840 Weeee. a sequel for Onomonopia best story !!!!!

So, the promised sequel has finally arrived.

And it's looking good. I love the way John Stewart isn't afraid to speak his mind to the Guardians, but is still careful not to offend them too much. I'd hate to imagine Guy Gardner in the same position.

So, the Manhunters...I think I know what happened to Ro-vis.

And it ain't good. Those prototype peacekeepers the Guardians created are bad news.

I really hope Sweetie's all right. Because in this case, no news is most likely bad news.

Oh...this is going to be bad. And something tells me that this isn't even the tip of the iceberg.

Why do I have the feeling that by the Epilogue, there's going to be a Mark-XIII?

and so the emerald dragon has returned:moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache:

Oh damn! Not them!!

Oh fudge and more chapters!

Ohmigod it has a sequel! :yay:

So far, it seems promising

Manhunters? :pinkiegasp:

Now, who might be controlling them? :duck:

" Hey, i'm no man, i'm a dragon":moustache:
=carry on then Dragon=

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's Light!

:yay:A sequel to the Emerald Dragon! I'm definitely following this.

6228509

In brightest day, in blackest night, I'm never gonna give you up without a fight. :trollestia:

6227482 Maybe The Anti-Monitor? It wouldnt be the first time.

6231148
Know too little about it.

6230359 Considering everything I know about comics, here are my theories:

Cyborg-Superman
Anti-Monitor
Sinestro
Krona
Something else entirely?

Wait...... are..... are you gonna bring in.... Atrocitus? Because if you do....... I warn you.... the consequences of hurting his character will be DIRE.

Believing at the time that emotion was a weakness, the Guardians programmed the Manhunters without emotions so that they wouldn't be corrupted by live or hatred."

SYSTEM ERROR! That should be love, not live.

So, it appears these Manhunters were just cheap knockoffs, if I interpreted John's thoughts correctly.

But he's right in thinking that Batman, if he was there, would say that the disappearing Lanterns and the reactivation of the Manhunters are connected. And there is still the matter of the Rings not choosing new Lanterns, meaning the missing Lanterns might not be dead, but captured. If that is the case, a rescue mission will be necessary, even if the Guardians object to it.

I admit it, I can never get into aged up Spike stories no matter how hard I try with one exception and even that story I finally gave up on.

Perhaps Braniac is controlling them? He lives to gather data and emotions are something that would be on that live. Who better to study than the Lantern Corps, and who better to capture them than the Manhunters.

Typo alert!

Or kill me. then double team you and kill you as well.

That period should be replaced with a comma.

Okay, so these new Manhunters are stronger than the originals.

And Spike needs to learn one important lesson: The value of teamwork.

Could you possibly include Guy Gardner into this fox plz? He's my favorite Green Lantern.

6243068
Sorry, he not in this one. I don't know enough about him anyway.

Why do I feel that the Guardians are behind the resurgence of the Manhunters? They have a pretty poor track record on major decisions and if I remember the comics correctly only a small handful are ever smart enough to think things through. It will be interesting to see who the big villain will be!

6244209 Yeah, I'm willing to bet that the Guardians have something to do with it

I was expecting them to be worried about a possible Manhunter stow-away. Possibly letting the two of them take it to the Blue Lanterns homeworld? I mean, they don't exactly know what the new Manhunters are capable of, so it's within the realm of possibility. Now, I'm not saying it's within the realm of probability, just that it's within the realm of possibility. Could you imagine? The awkward situation that would've caused?

My bad. I re-read it. Apparently they did. :facehoof: And to think, I was totally first to.

We fight as one.

Fusion! Blue dragon!

So Sweetie is safe, and has joined John and Spike on their mission.

And the Blue Lanterns are preparing to give serious consideration to moving to Oa until this storm has blown over, as it would help provide mutual safety for the Blue and Green Lanterns. Quite clever.

And as usual, the Speetie (that's short for Spike x Sweetie) is just too cute for words!

Spike and Sweetie Belle....:rainbowkiss:

The Faust was that?
Nobody says God was that?
Now, The Fuck was that makes more sense but that sounds hilarious coming from Spike

.....They're...... they're killing..... REDS?! DESTROY THESE DESPICABLE AUTOMATONS! DESTROY THEM IN THE NAME OF ATROCITUS!

Damn, the Manhunters just keep pulling new tricks out of their metal asses.

The Guardians aren't going to enjoy this little bit of news at all.

By the way, you've got a small typo.

The Manhunter had just enough time to register the voice before a pair of massive green jaws came down and chomped the Manhunter right in half, leaving only its legs which john pushed over with his left arm.

Capitalize John's first name, and you're good.

6256954 We have no proof that they're killing any Lanterns.

Besides, if they had done that, the Rings would have searched for new users right away.

6257073
6257097 Um dude? YOU KILL A RED BY TAKING HIS RING.

6257136 But did they find a ring when they defeated that Manhunter? I don't believe they did.

So for all we know, the ring is still on its owner, and the Manhunters are just siphoning its power.

6257166 I just re-read that part. I thought it said ring.

Maybe whoever is creating the new manhunters is downloading the lanterns minds into the machines.hence why the rings haven't searched out new host and they can keep a lot of trump cards behind his standard manhunters.

6257188 Well, it didn't.

Meaning the Lantern was probably just captured and hooked up to a machine that's draining power from his ring, and using it to empower Manhunters.

6257194 God help whoever it is that locked up the reds.... there won't be much left of him.

6257206 Indeed not. Because they are going to taste the whole rainbow of emotions when everything is said and done.

6257216 Dude the Reds would beat them there JUST so they can have first dibs.

6257218 But Larfleeze would refuse to allow them to get revenge before him. Because Greed.
