In the midsts of a frozen winter, as the days get shorter and the nights get colder, somehow, Princess Celestia manages to spend time with those who are truly special.

I liked this story. No, i loved it. This is a story where Celestia shows another side of herself that not many see. The message is clear, and well represented. The ending is great and the whole thing is well written and organized overall.

Also the image of Good Shepard braving the cold with nothing on but boxers and flanel to cut down a tree = hilarious

5421344 I don't get it.What does that have to do with anything about this story, or what I said?

5421610 its a way of showing gratitude.

5423478 yeah. And again good story

This was beautiful. You don't often see stories where Celestia is reminiscent of anything so (relatively) recent.

There were a few lines that caused me to chuckle, which is always a good thing. Thanks for writing!

By the way, this line leaves me with a question:

back when he was with us. I'd tell you the story if we had more time.

What happened to Stargazer? Or is this one of those things where the author leaves it up to the reader's imagination?

Thanks for commenting, I think you can see why I wanted people to comment on it so badly. Anyway, to answer your question, I have a definite answer to what happened to Stargazer, but like you said, it would be best to let the audience believe what they want to believe, because even if I hinted at what happened it would have been an excessive sidebar which would have confused the hell out of the reader.

That was an amazing, heartwarming ending to the story. Please, take my fave and thumb. You deserve more, but I have nothing left to give!

I'm glad you liked the ending, because it was hard to finally manage to make it heartwarming and at the same time bittersweet.

Congrats, your story has been reviewed and is recommended for Masterpiece in the PCaRG!
