I would recommend changing that to either "enacting" or casting, since "dispelling" usually implies getting rid of something.

Yes, I will continue to work on this story. It's just that things are going on in my life and my free time is sparse right now. The next chapter is actually ready to go, but I want to make sure I have a head start with the later chapters before I start posting again.
