This story is a sequel to The Ballad of Rainbow Dash and Time Turner: Give A Little Love

Ever sense they got together, life's been good for Time Turner and Rainbow Dash.
Outside of Turner Almost dying on Hearts and Hooves Day, but that's normal.

So what does that mean?

That your future in-laws want to meet each other...
Can Dash and Turner survive?

Aaand we're back!

So soon?
I know.

Dash's parents are still Firefly and Bluestreak.
Turner's dad is still Clagan. If that sounds familiar Clagan was also Time Turner's father in Nightmare Moon over the Republic.
I don't have a name for Turner's mother yet.
taking suggestions.

This is awesome. I can't wait to read what happens next. Let the battle of the inlaws commence. To celebrate I want to introduce you to my favorite songs about this topic.

As for Turners Mom, we can have, Fine Wine, Pish Posh, or Time Twist. Good luck with the next chapter. I so excited for this new story.

What would Jimmy Buffett Do?

Funny you should ask, Alan...

He'd just enjoy this ride on his trip around the sun with a cheeseburger in paradise.

Gimme da lovin' and shiz...

Also awkward parent moments are fun too.

Margaritaville might not be a bad place to have your in-laws meet each other at.
that way if things go bad, everyone can drink their troubles away.

Now 17 likes, I LOVE this, keep it up :D! Stay Awesome!

真的很期待之后的故事,希望能快些更新~

Really looking forward to the next chapter and I hope that you can update soon~

And we continue on.
moustalevria is a greek dish, as you might have figured out. Need to keep things consistent with the other stories.

the Whiskey/Whisky argument is real. Only the Irish and Americans use the Whiskey spelling, everyone else uses Whisky.
Why? no idea.

Fortuna is named after...the Roman goddess of luck.

Great chapter. Oh boy :) I can't wait for the next chapter. This is gonna be great.

5349602 That's a special kind of irony. I'll enjoy seeing it in motion.

I can't help but imagine Clagan as Capaldi's Doctor in pony form.

Uhh...I foresee strange events happening in the near future...

Haven't seen Doctor Capaldi yet.

last time I wrote Clagan he was more based on Hartnell's Doctor.

Gasp! D:
Turner's dad is a Testificate!

From MineCraft. Their only 'words' are sounds of disapproval. Even them 'saying' they like your trade offers sounds judgmental and upset.

Oh.
never played minecraft, so I thought it was something dirty.

Nope, just a reference to a group of slightly durpish village-folk with a mercantile sense that is almost literally unbelievable, and gigantic noses. I mean, like, Squidward-level noses.

So quick rundown on some odd nods.

As you probably have figured out, alot of Bluestreak's nods are going to be Transformers references.
In this case, Smokescreen's vineyards are named after Mesmerica.

Ibexs are either *Spain or *Italy.

Gotland is a Sweden counterpart, so it's named after the Gotland Pony.

Excellent. Now we just need Bluestreak to start complaining about some of his students, something like... A pair of twins? Named Sideswipe and Sunstreaker?

Hah, like mother, like daughter...or vice versa since Rainbow said it first?

Nice chapter. Thanks for the update. I'm suprised that Blue was the fan of Mama Mia, but I see it. Great job. Good luck with future chapters.

One would think Firefly would get stuck with a bunch of mischievous pegasi with Transfomer names.

After all, most of the Conehead and Seekers have good pegasus names.

There's a few genius bonuses here if you're familiar with historiography.

"History is more or less bunk" is attributed to Henry Ford.
When he said that he meant was people don't care about the past, only the now.

Bright Spear is...Essentially a ponified version of Clarence Darrow, right down to a literal translation of his name.
His quote is "History repeats itself and that's one of the things wrong with history."

The last one is "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce".
It's attributed to Karl Marx, thus...Red Banner.

Beachcomber is one of those Hasbro names that belongs to several franchise.
It's the name of Two Different ponies. One's a G1 Baby Sea Pony and the other is a G3 pony.
And more famously, G1 Transformers.

Some Pea soups are served cold.
This is not one of them.

This has been an interesting story. I loved this chapter. I loved that little fight between Time and Dash. I do like how Time's father approves of Dash. I can't wait for the next chapter. Good luck.

And that's it.
For now, anyway.

It's a bit hard to pin an exact age on most of the characters, but it's roughly something like this:
Dash: 21
Time Turner: 26
Soarin: 30
Rarity: 27
Spitfire: early/mid 30s.

Firefly/Bluestreak: roughly mid 50s.
Fortuna: Late 50s.
Clagan: early 60s.

Venus is abit of an ingag, that will eventually be explained...provided you don't figure out before then.

See you in Romance Novels Can Suck It.

Interesting choice with the end of this story. I liked how Firefly saved Spitfire. Also how everypony blamed Dash initially. Great job with this story. I enjoyed it.

that was an interesting way to end this story, though it fits into it pretty well.

I am starting to think this author might be related to Gordon Ramsay with the amount of references to food...

“Because…well, it’s your mom and it’s my father.” He closed the cabinet, “You know he’s a grumpy killjoy, and your mom is…shall we say short tempered?”

Dash paused, nearly dropping the glasses.

“Oh. Right.” She paused again as Turner stared at her, eyebrow raised.

“…Well, I don’t hear yelling, so it should be fine.”

*Insert dark chuckle here* This will be loads of fun.

“Well…sort of.” Bluestreak paused, “I’m a historian.”

“What era?” Clagan continued on.

“Well I’m mostly focused on the Ancient Pegasi City states in the period before they’re united by Commander Hurricane.”

“Ah.” Clagan paused, “Turner said you taught art.”

Is he....

“I dabble in art history too.” Bluestreak shrugged, “Mostly Dada.”

“Pre or post Great Griffon War?”

“Pre.”

“Well that can’t be much of a history,” Clagan scoffed.

Oh dear lord he just triggered a debate, well they'll be at it till morning so i'll start taking notes.

“I disagree. There’s certainly very Dada aspects to the Anti-Art movement before the war.” Bluestreak countered.

“Yes, but Dadaism isn’t well established until the war was well into the third year of the war.” Clagan retorted, “Obviously anything in the prewar situation that was remotely similar to Dada would retroactively become Dada.”

“That’s where I disagree,” Bluestreak put his wine glass down, “See, if we want to argue Modern and Post-Modern, we have to take the pre-war situation into account. What passes off as Modern in the Griffon Empire is different than what the French or Ibexians consider Modern.”

“Hardly.” Clagan scoffed.

The two continued a lively, animated conversation as Firefly rolled her eyes and drained her glass.

“Why don’t we go to the next room, so they can keep talking?” Fortuna suggested.

“Yeah, whatever.” Firefly shrugged as she picked up the bottle of Bourbon.

.....But, i wanted some world building! God dammit, does no body understand the need for an actual Equestrian world so i can adapt the countries to a political earth map?
