Sure, it's picked up a couple bits thanks to additions from that story and "The Magician and the Filly" (Twilight loves her Trixie plushie. :D), but there is a lot still to do with this. Even my "fic ideas" list still has a note that says "A LOT of work to sort out." Hope you're ready for chapter 4 in the next few days...because that's where it all starts to come together.

As Fluttershy's daughter, I would think Twilight would get some kind of important role upcoming! :D

That's actually a continuation of a thing I had running in chapters 1 through 4 where it would show a present day scenario, followed by a flashback scenario (Chapter 5 missed out on this, because that one was entirely flashbacks.). It's actually a direct reference to "Magic's Dawn" if you remember the events that revealed Twilight's alicorn form.

The shine of dawn?  Yet another way to say 'Twilight Sparkle', and like all the other forms of it, I find it a bit too obvious, a bit too intrusive.  Not sure how else you would go about it, but it just...never mind.  Perhaps you could try a reference to something other than her halfway convenient name?  References to names are always a bit too obvious.

I should put this rant in, like, every place I see this.  Yeah.

>>20984622098462 Yeah, there's a few lines in this I plan to revise at some point, as well as some lines thrown around in my other fics that just bother me (I'm not particular fond of Fluttershy's first line to Dash in Chapter 5.). I just haven't had too much time to get around to tweaking it.
