When Cheerilee receives a strange package containing an seemingly old board game her curiosity leads her to inviting he friends over to check it out. It doesn't take the mares long to discover, however, that "Zone" is no normal board game, and they soon find themselves struggling to make it through the game's increasingly dangerous and otherworldly challenges.
I bit quick on the mark for this one but I've PMed Rainbow to create a folder to stick it and any others for the Challenge in.
So a Pony version of Jamangi then, interesting? This wouldn't happen to be from Greengrass would it? An enchanted board game would seem to be right up his ally. Seem good so far, I wouldn't say it was awkward, although I'd say it was more suspense than horror.
I own a hundred sided dice, we call it the death star, it take for ever to stop rolling and is quite difficult to read.
I'm sure she won't be quite so keen on that once Dinky hits puberty.
I'd think she'd be a fan of Zatanna
Yep having to do all that with tools held in her mouth musn't be much fun, maybe she could get some of her unicorn students to do it as a detention? Of course it might work out easier just to smash all the bowls and start again in that case.
Way to look on the bright side there Ditzy, just keep telling youself that, hopefully Dinky wont end up an orphan.
Oh, why do I think that axe might get some use before this story ends, maybe in a "Here's Raindrops!" sort of way?
The cornfield maybe, but not the basement.
NOOO!! Carrot Top!
Tickling her with her lips? Well um, well they always did seem close...
A few spelling problems, I guess you put this together quickly and didn't get it proofed?

Frickin' evil boardgames giving nice sane ones like Battleship a bad name...
Yes, this is awesome! I love Jumanji and this is an excellent homage to that sort of thing. Really looking forward to where you take this. Even if it is a little outside your comfort zone to write, I still find it very entertaining and hope you continue it soon.

Jumanji is a pretty good comparison, actually. I mostly was thinking of this old VHS board game I played as a kid called Atmosfear which was a lot of fun. Played it every Halloween. Honestly I'm not sure how to tell the difference between suspense and horror, since they seem so closely tied together.
Yeah, I don't usually have anyone to check over my Lunaverse stories. And I'm definitely not the best at spotting errors myself. Thanks for finding those ones.

If Equestria has enchanted comics, then enchanted board games are pretty much a given. Imagine playing something like Arkham Horror in Equestria. Also makes me wonder if trading card games would also have enchanted versions; Magic the Gathering... literally.

I fully intend to finish this, and it should only take one or two more parts to do. Glad you like it so far.
