Ah I remember of mice and men.

Oh dear. I remember reading Of Mice and Men. I shall prepare my emotions.

I remember being SO HAPPY when...
I will be following this but I have a stronger emotional connection to FS so... Yeah :)

*spoiler alert*
I don't remember their names but throughout the second half of the book I was thinking "he is too much of a drag, get rid of him, lose him, kill him, SONETHING!" And then it's like the guy listened and BAM, I was pleased and the story was over!

:pinkiegasp: Oooh somepony should write
To Kill a mocking Mare

I recently saw this play in New York with James Franco as George and Chris O'Dowd as Lenny. Chris O'Dowd was fantastic, and James Franco was... meh. This is a pretty charming adaptation. A couple of errors here and there, but not bad. It's also missing a couple of crucial elements from the original (most notably, Fluttershy not having Lenny's strength and obsession with soft things), but I guess you're trying to change it up a little to fit in the context of MLP. Casting Diamond Tiara as Curly was a stroke of genius, and I wonder who you'll use as Diamond's "wife" (husband?)

I haven't actually read the book Mice and Men but my sister has and I remember her telling me how sad it was though being very careful not to reveal any of the plot to me. I love the way you have planned out the characters and the way they handle situations, also Diamond Tiara was very good! Honestly, it is far better than what some other authers write, so, as a true pegasister I ask for MOAR! :pinkiehappy:

Ohhhh, that's clever. That is so clever. Amazing! Best story I've read this year.... (and I've read a lot!) I loved the Rainbow Factory thing! :rainbowkiss:

I don't know if you have something going on right now but... I really love this story, like love love. it's amazing and i'd like you to know that it's by far one of the best stories I have ever read... Good luck! :raritywink:

Ah fuck. I know how this is ending...

While Shy being Lenny makes sense (how gentle and naive both of them are, plus their shared association with rabbits, and their unexpected tempers), I just have to ask... WHY?!?!?! :raritycry::applecry::fluttershysad:
This isn't the first time I've seen this connection (George is usually AJ, but who Lenny is varies, last time I saw this premise it was Derpy) but I can tell you went full emotional gut-punch mode in your character choices.
Anyway, cool story.

Cook, the Unicorn stable keeper, had his bunk in a small room off to the side of where the bears used to be kept. A small dorm that protruded from the side of the barn. On one side of the room there was small window, and on the other, a thin wooden door that led to the inside of the barn. Cook's bunk was just a long box filled with straw, on which a thin blanket was flung. On the wall by the window there were pegs on which hung aprons, goggles and lots of other trade equipment. Under the window, sat a small work bench with lots of little vials and tubes, filled with numerous substances. Scattered across the floor were lots of clothes and books. Since Cook lived alone in his small room, he was free to do what he pleased with his possessions.

Didn't expect you to adapt Crooks...
