Following the Tirek incident, Equestria is once more at peace and festivities abound by ponies grateful for their freedom. Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends have perhaps the greatest deal to celebrate, especially with the key-bearers who helped them to access Rainbow Power.
So Twilight decides to spend quality time with Discord—lord of chaos and final key-giver—investigating the Tree of Harmony, and the two friends must learn to work together towards a common goal while coming to trust each other. But friendship is not always easy, and when a struggling Discord receives a visit from a shadow that claims to be Tirek and threatens to destroy the mane six out of revenge, it tests their newly forged bonds and reveals many ancient secrets along the way.

Although, a prologue is typically posted along with a first chapter since prologues don't always show what a story offers.
I don't see a problem in this instance, but your prologue could probably be made Chapter 1.

Here's one thing that's probably good to change, it's something I have noticed without having read a word (!) - the description can be SO much smaller. As it is right now, most of this information is not fully necessary - it's a retelling of what happened in the show. A looooong retelling. It can put people off.

I have NEVER liked cliffhangers, simply because I end up laying awake in bed thinking " What's going to happen!?" I always overthink these things. If you don't update soon, I will end up thinking of 15 ways the story can go (I already have 2 ) 
I'm that one person who checks to see how extremely long it's been since a story has updated, only to see it has been a week 
But don't worry about using cliffhangers, it's a good tool to build excitement, simply don't use it for every chapter, and you will be fine!

You don't solve discord in Discord. You befriend it. That won't stop discord, but it will make it less dangerous. Also, interesting take on a discorded Discord! I didn't expect him to turn out like that!)

5350998 Yeah! Strangely enough, that aspect is part of what I had envisioned for this interpretation of Discorded Discord as well. In this case, I figured because regular Discord is already kind of dealing with his fears and trying to avoid them (and is a very creative character), the opposite might turn out to be a character who acts detached without much imagination. He is a bit like the stereotypical aristocrats who live in Canterlot, preferring to turn to others to take care of things and actually a coward in several different ways (not that I'm saying all the ponies in Canterlot are like this; it's just a point of comparison).
