Between Lines

A purveyor of intelligent literary commentary some of the time, and whatever I feel like the rest of the time.

Pandora is a remarkable creature, the union of two souls nopony in a million years would have bet on. Naturally, it can be frustrating when the rest of the world fails to acknowledge this, instead choosing to fawn over simple, run of the mill ponies.

Like precious princess Skyla and her precious little wedding.

It's understandable that, being a draconequus, one might be instinctively inclined to wreak a little havoc in such a scenario.

Too bad that havoc has such a habit of getting out of hoof, and maybe turning into a surprise kidnapping of the heir to the Crystal Empire's throne.

But hey, it's all good if you save her in the end.

Right?

No tragedy tag? Now that's a tragedy in and of itself. :fluttercry:

A completed story on release? I'm loving you more each day! Now to devour this non-tragedy.

The funny thing about the giant purple things Pandora doesn't want to talk about is that she was never in one. Discord laid her egg. I guess even a creature of chaos can make assumptions based on what's normal.

This story is utterly hilarious. I've loved Pandora ever since Lopoddity had her drawing pictures of Skyla with the caption "Princess of Butts".

That's the beautiful thing about psychology, so much of it is cultural symbolism. Even if Pandora didn't experience such a thing herself (and lets be honest, babies are born with their eyes closed anyway), she grew up in a culture where the symbolism exists. So even if it wasn't how things worked in her case, it's how she's been subconsciously taught to think of them working.

I know, right? I just had so much fun writing Pandora and such a clear idea where I wanted the story to go, I couldn't stop.

What a twist for Pandora...

This is amazing

I was hoping this was based off of Chaos Theory and Cookies.

I'll have to read this to satisfy my curiosity.

Could have used more Skyla. Also, Diamond Dog porn? :rainbowlaugh: I'm going to assume she's going to have a very unsatisfying sex life in her marriage. Dat Royal Regalia Battle Attire Skyla got out of no where. Adorable. Wish we could see Skyla and Pandora's little spark of what caused those two to hate each other so much. lol

Pandora was crazy fun here. And lol omg that bad Hulk movie ending moment, only this time it felt right. Love Tia, that was a great ending. Seems things are open to more sequels I guess.

Also, I'm a leave this here: Possibly why 'Skyla' is the way she is.

That DT headcanon is amazing. Also, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'd love to dust all these characters off for another go. Maybe a character piece here or there until I come up with another suitably epic idea.

5143526 That would be pretty cool. I really enjoyed the OCs here. Certainly a fun universe you have with plenty of potential for more fun side stories or pre-sequels and all that jazzy lingo that basically boils down to "More of these characters please!".:rainbowkiss:

And feel free to do whatever with any headcanons ya like. :pinkiecrazy:
Not like Twilight or Discord couldn't have pulled some favors to avoid having certain ponies' hearts completely torn again. Or she could just be that good at acting. :pinkiesad2:

But anyhow, Tia, Skyla, Pandora, Cupcake, Twicord, the High Ups. That's a wonderful brew of Law and Order and everything in between. xD

Well, that escalated quickly.

“You mean the giant purple v-” Cupcake began.
“We are never to speak of those again!” Pandora shrieked, momentarily regained of her old intensity.

Actually, do tell. Really, I would like to know what they looked like in excruciating detail.

“Her greatest fear made manifest was getting devoured back into your womb,”

Hot.

...But seriously, this story was pretty good! It made little sense, but as Discord would say; What fun is there in making sense?

Is there something I'm missing? This all feels like a side story(a really good side story, don't get me wrong) that is referencing something else I haven't read. Throw me a bone?

5601851 A bit of that is because I'm deriving off of Lopoddity's universe, so it's slightly pre-built, and the rest is the fact that I tend to develop ideas that I then cobble into stories, without necessarily bringing all the supporting information.

Why is it every Pandora story I read sounds like a bad acid trip? And why is it so bucking awesome!?

I just got my brain raped... It starts off as a story that seemingly goes from zero to WTF in ten seconds flat. Only to end abruptly with a small ting of remorse that is over, and you thirsting for more!

6443180 Thanks. Honestly, in retrospect, this story is literally an unmitigated mess, but I'm glad you liked it.

As amazing as this story is, I find myself feeling disappointed. or maybe unsatisfied would be a better word? Basically, aliens come to Equestria, lead poor Panny around by the nose, before leaving her spent and beaten, saying "Thanks for all the delicious data you've given us sucker. We're gonna take your DNA now and do whatever we want with it so nyaah.":rainbowwild:
This demands a sequal.:trixieshiftleft:
THIS SLEIGHT DEMANDS AN ANSWER!!:flutterrage:

6443180 very deep, a little unsatisfying but deep.
I was kinda hoping that Pandora would win and it would be more of a triumph, fight for those you love even if you don't know you love them bit... but this works....

I’d say it’s impossible to dislike flan but my faith in the human state isn’t high enough.

I'm... not entirely certain what just happened?

"There is no vacuum in space" is just absolutely breaking me. XD

“You can’t count to one hundred percent without two zeros, and that’s us!”

This strikes me as the kind of line you come up with and then write a story around. :D

I feel like I just read a crossover with an anime I've never seen. c.c;
