Good read. I like how you did not beat the reader over the face with the twist and let us put together the pieces ourselves before the end.
And to the people downvoting this story en masse should just be ashamed of themselves. I have read quite a few flops on this site and this good people, does not deserve 50% downvotes (15 to 8 as of now) by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm confused. Why is Human Flash such a jerk, and why did Flash need to give his Human little brother a horseshoe? There's another chapter, I guess I'll go read.
Personal qualms with the term "could care less" aside, this was really good! Added so much character to Flash and makes me like him so much more now. Not that I necessarily disliked him before.

Gotta say though, I was really nervous while reading the Frisbee scene that a bad throw by Flash was going to send Dreamy chasing it into traffic. I was imagining that happening and then everything shipping out in a handbasket.

Like "irregardless" it is a pure logic fail.
It really should be "could not care less." to make sense.
As "could care less" makes as much sense as saying
"Mr. X nodded in complete, 100% agreement. He could agree more."

Similar to erroneous usage of Caduceus used insted of Asclepius as a symbol of medicine... It is a very common mistake in US - blame that guy that thought that two snakes looked better than one on military medicine corps patches.

5124377 I wouldn't know as I haven't read the story itself, but it's just a Grammar Nazi's pet peeve when they see no one adds the "not" or compounded "n't" after "could" which sets off their ingrained teachings of how to English. Something Sind likes to point out whenever I use my Lazy English, as I call it, and say that one phrase. It's rather adorable.
Lazy English: Skype, Comments on pony forums on topics I don't feel matters if I'm grammatically correct or not, this 'killing time' conversation, and 'wouldn't it be cool if' talks.
Anyhow, not "anywho", I'm not gonna tell you to try and decipher the serious from the not serious posts, but at least learn to [url=link here] stuff you want people to view. TIME IS PONY!

It should be 'He couldn't care less' or 'As if he could care less'. Saying 'He could care less' implies that he cares, at least a little bit.
Aside from that snafu in the description that EVERYBODY has pointed out already, I decided to give this one a shot. I really love explorations into Flash's character, since he is so under rated.
You did not disappoint. A unique and heart wrenching tale. Masterfully written, sir.

This chapter totally made this story. The whole playing Freey Bee and the horse shoe stuff, I wonder if human!flash would throw away the horse shoe? Probably pawn it for new rims or a speaker.

As to the thing about the thing. Yeah, heh, if I wanted to I could of easily been one of the most beloved people in this fandom, and to many I probably am. But being someone I'm not and censoring my innermost thoughts and opinions on stuff, even if most are on the fly musings, I happily express my likes and dislikes as well as world views and thoughts on what makes us Human.
Still, pretentious people or people who feel being pretentious makes them feel more important (or smarter than they actually are), is something you'll be dealing with all around you. And even though SS&E misses some "I" here and there, like Shining Armor "What do _ hear?" moment, I acknowledge that SS&E is human and just wanted to make this adorable story for people to enjoy and take it for what it is. If some people want to suddenly get on the "I could care less" bandwagon just because SS&E has a lot of followers and that seems to equate to "I gotta find some error in his writing to make a big deal about!", I just ignore them or make a sarcastic comment here and there and call it a day. :P
But yeah. Some people genuinely find that Lazy English to be their kryptonite. There is even a factual instance where You and Me is grammatically acceptable and proper in certain situations. Though elitists would have you believe otherwise.
But still, it's considered Lazy English because we all didn't graduate with an English Major apparently. :P
Anyhow, one thing you need to ignore... are these silly up and down thumbs on comments. Getting upset or just putting too much thought into why one was put on you beyond "I didn't agree with this comment" is more effort than it's worth, and you'd be good to just not heed it them any mind.
